The USA were the only country that invoked NATO article 5 after 9/11. Every NATO nation came to help in Afghanistan. 1,144 NATO soldiers, among them 60 Germans, died during this war.

Somewhere in the USA. High above the city, this abandoned penthouse cinema spans the top two floors of a narrow 10-storey building. This #ArtDeco era theatre started life as a vaudeville venue but appears to have fallen out of use when other theatres switched to movies.
In the early 1960s it came back into use, showing foreign and art-house films. Within a decade the cinema would close for good.

Considerado le tematiche spesso affrontate in queste piattaforme molta gente verrebbe a conoscenza di un mondo (open source) che ora ignora. E soprattutto al diritto alla privacy, ormai di fatto eclissato dal "comfort".
Anche utilizzando le piattaforme closed, in maniera massiccia e organizzata come forma di boicottaggio.

L’app il cui repository è pubblicato su GitHub analizza il dispositivo, confronta i pacchetti con un database ospitato su Firebase Firestore e restituisce un elenco ordinato di software proprietario insieme a suggerimenti FOSS pertinenti. L’idea è semplice ma potente, perché permette di avere una panoramica immediata del livello di libertà del proprio telefono e di intervenire con scelte più consapevoli.

in reply to informapirata ⁂ • • •Io che la uso quotidianamente come ausilio, sono la prima a dire che viene utilizzata spesso e volentieri per inutilità e danni: plugin o servizi che PROMETTONO di inventarsi articoli illudendoti di avere un blog che si scrive e mantiene da solo, video e audio creati automatici e che vanno in vendita, per non parlare di truffe, immagini false, immagini di abusi. Capiamoci, è un coltello senza manico. Una lama che risulta pericolosa finché non ci applichi su l'impugnatura.
