WHY is it impossible for US Americans to just state "USA" in in their bio??
It's either just nothing or some regional name/abbreviation and they just assume everyone in the world has to know where that is.
There's a reason I'm not just stating "I live in OÖ" or "I live in Mühlviertel" in my bio...
(similar for Germans in Germany, who also hardly ever point out that they live in Germany but then like to assume that everyone who writes in German must be talking about Germany. Maybe it's a phenomenon of bigger countries? They think they're the default?)
