The Palau-flagged oil tanker Elbus was struck by a drone approximately 30 miles off the coast of Turkeyโs Kastamonu province while en route to Russia. The attack damaged the upper part of the vessel, but no crew injuries were reported, according to Ortadoฤu Gazetesi.
The ship issued a distress call, and Turkish Coast Guard teams responded. The tanker is currently being towed to ฤฐnebolu Port for further inspection.
