Wow, Iโve just tried #brow6el - a #sixel based terminal (!) web browser - on one of classic Polish portals, packed with ads and mashup JS/HTML. And itโฆ works!
Sixel is an old (DEC times) but very clever protocol for displaying 6-bit graphics right in terminal window, Brow6el is a Chromium-engine using Sixel graphics to render the pages. So essentially youโve got a fully functional graphical (!) web browser in a text terminal. Because itโs still Chromium, this particular website uses ~500 MB of RAM.
Surprisingly, the build process on Ubuntu is also rather trivial and takes ~5 min (thanks to the use of prebuilt Chromium binary I suppose)

The most interesting thing about #Venezuela right now is this flood of narratives along the lines of โthe events of 2026 justify the events of 2014/2022โ.
These arguments are noticeable, if not widespread, and it is most interesting that they are mostly coming from people in the US and Europe. Who, in theory, should understand concepts such as logic, chronology and moral universalism.
Instead, they seem to have completely internalised Soviet dialectical thinking, conveniently mainstreaming Russian sophistry.
