You may overestimate the degree to which most people have seen or remember details from Jurassic Park.
If you tried that on me, you'd have to hit me over the head with something like, "and then she said, 'It's a UNIX system I know this'" and even then I'd assume she was a snarky kid referencing an old movie.
I'm not sure of a movie I could count on a random person having seen and being familiar with. There's oodles of people who haven't even seen a single Star Wars movie.
