@hypolite It's a matter of perspective - to one who's used to what computers were capable of before LLMs, they really are a breakthrough. Like, imagine someone who's used to working on carriages watching a basic car prototype putter around at 5 miles per hour while blasting out smoke and breaking down every half hour, and going "It moves! It moves!" Can they outwalk it without breaking a sweat, and otherwise still outperform it in just about every dimension? Sure, but that's not the point. -_-

@Angle🖇 I disagree with the analogy, if only because the car wasn't designed to fool us at a global scale. Cars are bound by the realm of physics, and while science-fiction authors have imagined flying cars, the three main car manufacturers in the world never had parallel marketing campaign all promising they would be around the corner.

As a result, based on the same piece of information, I can't trust the conclusions of someone I perceive as having been thoroughly fooled by the fooling machine. I am interested in the underlying breakthrough, but I won't have an AI stan explain it to me as I simply can't trust them. It's like if a car crash victim was explaining to me how great cars are.

@Angle🖇 And that's even before going through the Uncanny Valley of this video's visuals. Did you see the two chefs preparing a cake? The transitions between completely different scenes are so smooth I had to watch it again how a spatula transformed into a piping back in one chef's hand? Initially I thought it was a jump cut, but no, it's an AI-generated video and the Youtube author deemed it good enough, which is another red flag for me.

@hypolite Eh, that could be an artistic choice as much as anything - if someone had gone and done that in blender I wouldn't think twice about it, beyond maybe going 'Oh hey, neat trick!', given how it fits in with the transition to finishing the cake. Not to say that I think AI video is perfect, but that particular complaint just seems a little silly to me. :/

@hypolite On the whole though, I think the focus on the limitations of AI is a little silly. Like, you can spend all day coming up with ways that cars are worse than horses, and you can make some really good points and come up with things that are quite true! But if you want to then make the leap from there to 'And therefore cars won't replace horses for the majority of people and we won't bulldoze huge swathes of the country for highways and parking lots and gas stations', well, uh... No. :/

@hypolite And that's not even to say that I like the outcome - I bet if the right person went back in time with the right plan and a lot of luck, they could lean us down an alternate development path where cars were banned and we relied on mass transit and horses still, and were legitimately better off as a society for it! But obviously that didn't happen with cars, and if you want it to happen with AI, you have to actually take the technology seriously and do something about it. -_-

@Angle🖇 I reject that premise as well. I want to be well informed about AI, including how it will steamroll through developed countries that rely on tertiary sector jobs for their internal economy.

This video just doesn't cut it. Like I said, I don't want to be told about the fooling machines by someone I perceive to have been fooled already. On the other end of the spectrum, I would also be suspicious of someone who now declares AI to be an inconsequential fad, because their premise would seem too far away from reality. But there are way fewer of these people now than there still are uncritical hype men, including because some have vested financial interests to be so.

@hypolite I wouldn't take this guy as the final word on that paper, but he did at least make me interested in looking it up, and maybe reading it and getting someone else's take on it.

@Angle🖇 I couldn't agree more. Even the "licensed material on a physical support" was unbearable for copyright holders. What gets me is that there's a finite amount of money people will spend on licensed material. This market cap doesn't increase because you found a new way to curtail secondary markets. People don't just find extra income just to purchase multiple licences for the same work.

È di pochi giorni fa la notizia di un nuovo regolamento UE per proteggere agricoltori e fornitori di prodotti alimentari dalle pratiche commerciali sleali transfrontaliere.

Se le pratiche sleali interessano fornitori in almeno 3 paesi UE, un paese verrà designato per coordinare la risposta.

Il settore agroalimentare rappresenta un'infrastruttura economica globale di importanza strategica, ma è parallelamente esposto a forme di criminalità organizzata che superano la tradizionale sfera della sicurezza igienico-sanitaria. La frode agroalimentare, o food fraud, si configura come un fenomeno intrinsecamente complesso e transnazionale, richiedendo risposte coordinate a livello di polizia, intelligence e legislazione. L'analisi qui presentata si concentra sull'architettura di enforcement internazionale e sulla dettagliata risposta giuridica e operativa intrapresa dallo Stato italiano.

La necessità di un approccio integrato è determinata dalla natura ibrida della minaccia, che danneggia simultaneamente la salute pubblica (sebbene non sempre in modo immediato), la concorrenza leale tra gli operatori economici e la fiducia dei consumatori. La lotta a tali pratiche non può limitarsi al controllo dei prodotti finiti ma deve penetrare l'intera filiera produttiva e distributiva, inclusa la dimensione del commercio elettronico.

В Новосибирске прошел митинг против повышения утильсбора и НДС

16 ноября 2025 года в Новосибирскепрошел митинг против повышения налога на добавленную стоимость до 22%, роста нагрузки на малый и средний бизнес, а также увеличения ставок утильсбора. Аналогичная акция состоялась в городе 11 октября 2025 года.

Участни:цы акции вывесили баннер с надписью «Хватит затыкать ваши дыры в бюджете нашими кошельками!». На акцию вышли около пятидесяти человек. Митинг прошел на окраине Новосибирска — мэрия отказалась согласовать две локации в центре, сославшись на ремонт одной площадки и занятость другой, где проходило мероприятие.

Что известно?

▪️ За день до акции силовики задержали одного из организаторов митинга и сооснователя Российской коммунистической партии интернационалистов Сергея Крупенько. Еще одного организатора — Олега Мецлера — вызвали в полицию за два часа до начала митинга, но позже отпустили.

▪️ Крупенько вызвали в полицию из-за событий 7 ноября 2025 года, когда группу горожан:ок задержали при попытке возложить цветы в Сквере Героев революции. Как пишет «Вестник Бури», Крупенько не смог явиться по уважительным причинам, и его интересы, согласно врученной повестке, мог представлять адвокат.

▪️ Несмотря на это, участковый заявил, что «неявка Крупенько С. Е. препятствует всестороннему, полному и своевременному рассмотрению всех обстоятельств дела и разрешению его в соответствии с законом».

▪️ Активисту вменяют административную статью за нарушение установленного порядка организации и проведения митинга — вторая часть статьи 20.2 КоАП РФ, которая предусматривает штраф или арест до пятнадцати суток.

▪️ Помимо Крупенько, за участие в этой акции задержали еще девять человек, однако, как пишут соратни:цы активиста, к административной ответственности планируют привлекать только Сергея Крупенько.

В Москве в большинстве школ мессенджер MAX установили менее 20% учеников

Департамент образованиямэрии Москвы провёл совещание, на котором обсуждались показатели сотрудни:ц школ по подключению к государственному мессенджеру MAX. Об этом сообщила социальная антропологиня Александра Архипова со ссылкой на свои источники.

Что известно?

▪️ Около 62% сотрудни:ц школ установили MAX, а показателя в 100% достигли две школы — номер 14 и 2048. На слайде также приведён топ «худших» школ, где MAX установили менее 20%. Среди них — ГБОУ Школа «Интеллектуал», где MAX установили всего 2% сотрудни:ц.

▪️ Доля родителей подключившихся к государственному мессенджеру составляет около 20%, и только в четырёх школах — около 40%.

▪️ Среди школьни:ц MAX установили в среднем 7%. В семи школах показатель превысил 20%, но во всех остальных он ниже. На слайде с совещания говорится, что выполнение показателя по подключению учени:ц и их родитель:ниц к MAX охарактеризовано как «недостаточное».

Что в других регионах?
▪️ Школь:ниц и сотрудни:ц школы принуждают устанавливать MAX и в других регионах России.

▪️ Так, Минобразования Новосибирска объяснило, что приложение Max утверждено в качестве национального мессенджера и сослалось на свой указ, в котором не рассматривается использование других мессенджеров для образовательных целей.

▪️ В Белгородской области родитель:ницы обратились к журналист:кам с жалобой на принудительную установку госмессенджера. В местном Минобразования уверяют, что установка мессенджера носит лишь «рекомендательный характер».

Gli utenti Windows, macOS e Linux beneficiano anche dell’integrazione con Firefox 140.5.0esr, con correzioni per il problema che compromette la visibilità del messaggio di aggiornamento nelle pagine about:tor.

Gli utenti Linux possono usufruire in particolare del ripristino dei font Noto CJK, della sostituzione dei font Jigmo meno leggibili e della risoluzione dei problemi di rendering dei font nella finestra di auto aggiornamento.

16 anni di Go: un linguaggio di programmazione innovativo e scalabile

Nel novembre 2025, il linguaggio di programmazione Go ha compiuto 16 anni. È stato rilasciato pubblicamente il 10 novembre 2009, come esperimento di Google per creare un linguaggio semplice e veloce per grandi sistemi distribuiti. Oggi è uno strumento chiave per lo sviluppo lato server moderno. L’attuale versione stabile ha raggiunto la versione 1.25.4 di Go, con patch di sicurezza regolari e miglioramenti al runtime e alla libreria standard.

16 anni di Go: un linguaggio di programmazione innovativo e scalabile

L’idea di Go è nata all’interno di Google con Robert Griesemer, Rob Pike e Ken Thompson. Volevano un linguaggio che si compilasse quasi alla stessa velocità del C, ma che fosse anche simile in usabilità a Python e scalabile a basi di codice di grandi dimensioni e server multithread. Go 1.0 è stato rilasciato nel 2012 con una promessa pubblica: il codice scritto per la prima versione avrebbe continuato a essere sviluppato nelle versioni successive.

La compatibilità è stata effettivamente mantenuta nel corso degli anni, il che distingue significativamente Go da molti concorrenti e riduce i costi di supporto per progetti di lunga durata.

Negli ultimi 16 anni, Go è diventato più di un semplice linguaggio, ma uno standard de facto per le infrastrutture cloud. È alla base di Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform e Prometheus, gli strumenti che alimentano la stragrande maggioranza delle moderne piattaforme cloud e container. Tra il 2015 e il 2018 circa, Go si è affermato come la scelta principale per i microservizi e gli strumenti per container e, entro il 2024, è diventato uno dei linguaggi più utilizzati al mondo, in particolare nei servizi di intelligenza artificiale e nei dispositivi edge. Secondo una ricerca di JetBrains e SlashData, ci sono milioni di sviluppatori Go in tutto il mondo e, in classifiche come TIOBE e GitHub Octoverse, il linguaggio si posiziona costantemente tra i primi 10 ed è uno dei linguaggi open source in più rapida crescita e tra i client API.

Sebbene l’evoluzione del linguaggio sia proceduta senza intoppi, ci sono stati diversi punti di svolta. L’evento più significativo degli ultimi anni è stata l’introduzione dei generici in Go 1.18 nel 2022. Si è trattato del più grande aggiornamento sintattico nella storia del linguaggio, atteso con ansia dagli sviluppatori da molti anni.

Ora è possibile scrivere collection generiche e codice di utilità senza infiniti copia-incolla, mantenendo la semplicità che contraddistingue Go. Le versioni successive si sono concentrate meno sull’aspetto sorprendente e più sul perfezionamento di quanto già esistente. Go 1.22 e Go 1.23 hanno introdotto miglioramenti al compilatore e al linker, ottimizzazioni guidate dal profilo più efficaci, nuovi pacchetti iter e struct, timer e ticker rielaborati e aggiornamenti alle librerie di crittografia e networking, incluso il supporto per Encrypted Client Hello e schemi post-quantistici sperimentali in TLS.

Nel 2025, è stata rilasciata Go 1.25, che ha ulteriormente migliorato l’osservabilità e la containerizzazione: il runtime ora adatta automaticamente il numero di thread ai limiti della CPU, sono state introdotte una garbage collection sperimentale con pause più brevi e una modalità Flight Recorder per il tracciamento continuo con basso overhead, e la libreria standard ha acquisito strumenti per un test del codice simultaneo più pratico e una nuova versione di encoding/json.

Le statistiche della community mostrano che il linguaggio è entrato in una fase matura, ma rimane attraente. JetBrains classifica Go tra i linguaggi più promettenti secondo il Language Promise Index,e Stack Overflow lo classifica tra le tecnologie più “desiderate” e “rispettate”, con gli sviluppatori Go che guadagnano, in media, al di sopra della media del settore. Nel 2024, il team del linguaggio ha assistito a un cambio nella leadership tecnica: dopo l’uscita di Russ Cox, Austin Clements ha assunto il ruolo di responsabile tecnico generale e Cherry Mooy è ora responsabile del core di Go, sebbene la direzione dello sviluppo non sia cambiata. Il team continua a dare priorità alla stabilità, a modifiche accurate e a miglioramenti basati sulla telemetria e sui sondaggi degli utenti.

Nel suo sedicesimo anniversario, Go si presenta come un raro esempio di linguaggio “calmo” che non insegue l’hype, ma rafforza costantemente la sua posizione in aree in cui affidabilità, prevedibilità e facilità di manutenzione sono fondamentali.
