My personal comment is that while the corruption at war time is truly disgusting, we can’t lose from sight the following facts:
- In summer, Ukrainian society has actively defended independence of NABU (anti-corruption agency) and SAP (anti-corruption court) on country-wide protests
- NABU has successfully investigated this scandal, charging the sitting government ministers (!)
- All Ukraine’s media freely report about corruption on all levels
- Zelensky demanded immediate dismissal of the ministers charged from the government (who appoints them)
Every single of these points clearly demonstrate that the 2025 Ukraine is already light years beyond not only Russia, but also 2010’s Ukraine of Yanukovych.
