Where does it land? Hopefully not onto something metal.

Affronto questo discorso da molto tempo e in molte occasioni (qui una delle prime che ho trovato mastodon.uno/@informapirata/10…) e sono consapevole del valore aggiunto che le soluzioni pronte (cloud, software proprietario, servizi gestiti dai leader di settore, etc) sono un asset intangibile per i decisori.
E maggiore è il livello di incompetenza della classe dirigente, maggior valore acquisiscono tali asset

In entrambi i casi quello che le dirigenza vuole è il prodotto magico che ti permetta di non dover costruire e mantenere competenza interna.
Oggi va il cloud, domani si tornerà on premise con mirabolanti prodotti, e tutti saranno sorpresi perché "lì diceva che avremmo speso pochissimo".
La realtà è che puoi fare miracoli da entrambi i lati della barricata, ma devi avere persone competenti a tutti i livelli.
