also i think it's more subtle than making "shit". i had conversation with friends i really respect and admire their practice who told me how they got actually nice job opportunities through instagram. For example someone talk about them to someone else and then show their instagram profile which later get mentionned in a meeting or commission. I know they would have loved that person to show their personnal website instead but factually that person didn't knew about personnal website and used the platform as a way to discover and share other's work. That is a constraint in discoverability not one in what you actually make as an artists (which is another discussion i guess).

Machine learning, of which Large Language Models depend on, are really good at laser-focusing on a specific outcome. So they can pass exams with relative ease: clear and limited goals, discrete grading, that's machine learning bread and butter.
But they aren't humans, who were the ones medical exams were designed for. So you can't make the same assumptions about LLMs passing medical exams as you would with actual humans. Of course, the natural language interface unnecessarily blurs the line.

Io perรฒ sto scindendo la logica dall'implementazione: รจ chiaro che avere un archivio di chi visita cosa รจ sbagliato e pericoloso, non si discute, e se domani discord mi chiede i documenti smetto di usarlo.
Ma accidenti, anzichรฉ identificare ogni singolo utente con il suo documento, non basterebbe che ogni sito e social usassero dei metadati comuni, dopodichรฉ il browser o il sistema operativo, che conoscono l'etร del loro utente, possono leggere i metadati e decidere se consentire l'accesso o meno???
Vero che richiede un minimo di coordinamento, ma mi pare un coordinamento banale.

Per cui, l'unico modo per mettere in pratica il tuo suggerimento sarebbe 1) che i genitori non diano lo smartphone ai minorenni o 2) che controllino continuamente questo smartphone.

A mio avviso un controllo cosรฌ stretto da impedire l'iscrizione ai social รจ talmente stretto da non essere attuabile nella pratica, sicchรฉ diventa un'argomentazione pretestuosa.
Che una volta ogni tot si dia un'occhiata allo smartphone del figlio ci puรฒ stare, certamente.
Ma che uno strumento cosรฌ stradiffuso non si sia dotato di un sistema semplice per proteggere i minori, come un Android ' for teens' , io lo trovo un'assurditร .

Nella classe di mio figlio (12 anni, 20 allievi), lui รจ l'unico senza smartphone; degli altri 19 forse 3 hanno un parental control abilitato.
E' vero, perรฒ รจ anche vero che al momento il parental control รจ proprietario ( Google ha il suo, Apple ha il suo.. ) e funziona cosรฌ cosรฌ, mi dicono.
Io penso che se il parental control a livello di OS fosse condiviso e semplice da usare, i genitori lo userebbero e diventerebbe una prassi.

Vediamo se ho capito: il parental control di Google, che quindi funziona solo su telefoni Android, ti consente di 1) limitare il tempo sullo schermo o su app specifiche 2) bloccare l'installazione di nuove app tipo TikTok 3) geolocalizzarti il figlio/figlia 4) filtrare i contenuti.
Come รจ messo il filtro sui contenuti, per esempio video YouTube? Funziona bene o blocca tutto/non blocca niente?

per il punto 4 non so dirti: c'รจ la possibilitร di abilitare un filtro dei contenuti su youtube ma non so dirti quanto bene funzioni (mia figlia de facto non guarda mai youtube, รจ piรน da spotify e libri)

esempio pratico: un compagno di mio figlio (12 anni, unico in classe senza telefono) neanche 2 giorni dopo aver ricevuto lo smartphone ha pubblicato un sondaggio sulla chat di classe "a voi sta simpatico [figlio di mrphelz] ? si / no" (chat di classe dove ovviamente sono dentro tutti tranne mio figlio).
Saputo da altri, ho fatto gentilmente notare la cosa ai genitori del ragazzo (che conosco), senza chiedere punzioni, cazziatoni o altro, ma giusto per sensibilizzare.
La cosa fortunatamente รจ finita li.

Ecco appunto, nei prossimi pochi anni li avrรฒ alle medie tutti e due. Mi debbo preparare a questa roba qua, allora.
Il problema รจ che io lo so ma moltissimi altri no. Per dire: un'amica di mia figlia (15 anni) usa Snapchat per chattare online con sconosciuti, i genitori (padre in polizia, madre insegnante di liceo, quindi non proprio gli ultimi dei cretini) non ne hanno la piรน pallida idea.
Per questo non puoi metterla via con "รจ un problema dei genitori"
Io sarรฒ nella tua situazione tra qualche anno, ma giร vedo che fra pochissimo dovrรฒ iniziare a lottare perchรฉ tutti i compagni avranno lo smartphone in prima media e faranno iscrivere i figli a whatsapp perchรฉ... tanto che puรฒ succedere di male?
Quindi sono d'accordo che non si puรฒ lasciare solo ai genitori (anche perchรฉ non รจ di banale gestione neanche per genitori con competenze informatiche), ma io sono piรน favorevole a una sensibilizzazione e informazione che parta anche dalla scuola, piuttosto che a una misura di controllo invasivo di tutta la popolazione.

@mrphelz lo stato dovrebbe prima spiegare qual รจ il danno, quantificarlo e stabilire sanzioni per i tutori legali (=i genitori). Poi deve avviare campagne di sensibilizzazione e centri di supporto per le vittime. Solo dopo potrebbe valutare se introdurre sistemi di riconoscimento

PRIMA devi avviare campagne massive di informatizzazione e sensibilizzazione (sia per gli adulti che per i bambini / ragazzi) e forse DOPO puoi pensare di mettere sanzioni (da capire poi su chi: se mio figlio accede a contenuti inadatti sul computer della scuola non posso essere certo io il responsabile)

People who are new to the Fediverse and have zero ideas what an alt-text is, will not turn it on.
We see, especially after di.day, a rise of users who have zero ideas about it.
They want an easy user experience.
We have some "hard cases" and they are so much struggling with doing it right.
