1) Russia's intense attacks on Ukraine in recent weeks have depleted its ammunition supplies, which are produced on an ongoing basis anyway.
2) A wave of record cold weather is currently sweeping across Russia, providing an ideal opportunity for counterattacks.
3) It seems logical that it was not Trump who asked Putin, but Putin who asked Trump, and the latter is presenting this as a result of his genius, as was the case with the "peace plan"
4) Russia has not confirmed any pause, so it is free to keep it or not, as soon as it decides that continuing the attacks will cause more damage to Ukraine than to themselves.

Der Digital Independence Day hat ordentlich Bewegung reingebracht: Innerhalb nur einer Woche entstanden Info-Folder in drei Sprachen – komplett layoutet von @digitalcourage. Deutsch und Englisch wurden noch rechtzeitig zur FOSDEM gedruckt, Französisch folgte als PDF. Ja, ein paar kleine Fehler sind noch drin – Version 2 kommt asap. It has many defenders (a few even among the working class!), just like feudalism / monarchism had some peasant-class defenders.
Anyways the class contradictions between workers and capitalists are irreconcilable, are there is no sense trying to "unite" with our exploiters and class enemies.
