Home ownership rate is the percentage of homes occupied, not the percentage of people who own their homes (or even have positive equity in them).
From what I could find, 1/3rd of the adult population rents, another 3rd have mortgages with negative equity, and 1/3rd have positive or paid off mortgages. I couldn't find the number who fully own their homes.
Either way all of the above categories could still be house-poor, meaning you're spending most of your income on housing and upkeep, and could still be a paycheck away from homelessness, unable to pay rent/mortgage. I had a relative who fully owned her home, but was unable to pay the property tax and her house was seized.

If we really want to figure which instances to suggest, it could maybe be good to have some additional statistics tracked per instance, and compare to the global averages. It might even be able to influence default choices for like the join-lemmy website.

- percentage of anonymous visits that result in a signup (ignore those that result in a login)
- ban rate
- signup acceptance/rejection speed
- percentage of accepted signups vs failed/declined (maybe this just promotes accepting spammers)

A quanto pare il referendum ci sarà il 22-23 marzo prossimi.
Stamattina ho già visto un mega cartellone del Sì con un messaggio volutamente fuorviante.
I dibattiti che ho ascoltato finora sono stati deludenti. Non ho trovato una mappa visiva che spieghi lo stato di fatto e cosa cambierà. Perché a noi interessano le conseguenze di questa legge.
C’è già qualcosa o proviamo a farla?
Da quello che ho letto con la modifica in proposta la magistratura sarà più influenzata dalle azioni di governo.
E la costituzione prevede che i tre poteri dello stato debbano rimanere indipendenti, e già la funzione parlamentare è stata indebolita.
@FlavioB ho letto l'articolo da modificare. Praticamente un terzo dei componenti del CSM fa parte di un elenco di professori universitari (competenti in materie giuridiche) e di avvocati scelti dal Parlamento. Il restante due terzi da magistrati giudicanti e requirenti.
Cosa può combinare quel terzo? Penso di non avere le competenze per dirlo.
Sta di fatto che, appunto, così viene meno l'indipendenza dei poteri.
Io di base sono contraria alla separazione delle carriere.

Però il cliente andrà presso l'istituto che propone le condizioni più basse.
Ma allora le banche come guadagnano?
Investendo i soldi che i loro clienti depositano in attività redditizie, come già fanno.
E se la banca investe in attività che non sono redditizie e perde soldi?
Vuol dire che non è una buona banca e che i suoi clienti dovrebbero rivolgersi altrove.
