@trashHeap Same here, but I keep thinking about the Arpanet map that you could draw on a single sheet of paper with the name and address of each server in the network. Obviously very removed from the Web, but its beginnings were fairly exclusive.
Note that it doesnโt detract from your latter criticism, LLM-based GenAI is setting fire to the little commons left there was.
