Last night, Russia once again struck Ukraine with missiles and drones, mainly aimed for Kyiv. Lots of residential buildings were hit and damaged. A drone strike damaged the Embassy of Qatar in Kyiv, President Zelensky confirmed, calling it an attack on civilians amid freezing weather.
One medic, Serhii Smoliak, was killed in a repeat strike while responding to an earlier hit. Right now, there are four dead and 25 injured.
Ukraine's Air Force reported on a massive overnight Russian missile and drone attack.

The Russian Lukoil holdouts in Europe are now also targeted. Chevron and Quantum Capital are in position to take over Lukoil assets across Europe for a good price. This is backed by the Trump administration. A senior US official commented as follows:
โWe are looking for a divestment that places ownership of these assets into the hands of an American owner and operator ad infinitum. We do not want a buy-and-flip situation, so this is a compelling option.โ
Russiaโs losing streak is not coming to an end and received another episode, this time in Iraq.
The Iraqi government nationalized the stake of Russiaโs Lukoil in regards to the West Qurna-2 oil field, which accounts of around 75%. This oil field produces 460,000 barrels of oil, daily. Instead Iraqโs oil industry invited US energy giants ExxonMobil and Chevron to bid on the stake.
Iraq wants to avoid being targeted by US sanctions, throwing its former Russian business partner under the bus.
8 January 1943 | Hungarian Jewish girl Lea Sherman was born in Nagyvรกrad (Oradea).
In June 1944 she was deported to Auschwitz, where she was murdered in a gas chamber after selection.
