A year and a half ago, I came out to visit my NY family (my best friend's family) and NYmom wasn't sleeping well so I said heeeyy, I just happened to bring along some indica gummies that work lovely for that very purpose, but she's of a certain generation that's all "Don't try to get me into your casual wastrel drugs," but I said "just do a tiny nibble and see how it goes." So she tried it and slept really well that night, so, as we are in Enlightened New York, the next day the bestie and I went over to the dispensary downtown and got her her own bag of the local version. She took that but it didn't quite do as well as mine so she thought maybe the first go had just been an odd lucky confluence.
So anyway, I'm back a year and a half later and I open the fridge and the house is now HOUSE OF LEGAL WEED FOR ALL OCCASIONS.

Back when I was important, I saw the common trend of incidents being reported on Fridays or right before holiday breaks. I started asking the reporters (while thanking them) "why did you report it when you did?" and the response was consistent: "I knew this was important and I didn't want it to sit over the weekend/holiday without anyone knowing about it".
I suspect there may be a similar situation with discovered vulnerabilities.

in reply to Jerry 🦙💝🦙 • • •I had a long discussion with a (MD of psychology) friend years ago about the "last chance" urgency effect on our brains. Essentially the same phenomenon that is believed to cause a squirrel to think "AHHH, RUN NOW" at the worst possible moment when a car is approaching.
I wonder if some of the same basal survival instinct wiring is responsible for this phenomenon. 😛
