🇵🇱 Poland may transfer 6-8 MiG‑29 fighters to Ukraine, Deputy Polish Defense Minister Cezary Tomczyk says.

The final decision has not yet been made, but the jets are scheduled to be retired from Polish service at the end of December. Tomczyk emphasized that giving these MiG‑29s will not weaken Poland’s own defense, and Ukraine could provide drone technology in return.

В результате неудачной операции американского Центрального разведывательного управления (ЦРУ) на одной из вершин Гималаев был потеряно устройство, работающее на радиоактивном топливе. Об этом пишет газета The New York Times, ссылаясь на участников операции.

По данным газеты, секретную операцию ЦРУ проводило в 1965 году. Ее целью было установить на второй по высоте вершине Гималаев комплекс оборудования, предназначенного для слежки за ядерными испытаниями, которые проводились в Китае. Одним из элементов комплекса, который предстояло поднять на высоту более семи тысяч метров, был радиоизотопный генератор с плутонием SNAP-19.
