La campagna su larga scala TamperedChef sta nuovamente attirando l’attenzione degli specialisti, poiché gli aggressori continuano a distribuire malware tramite falsi programmi di installazione di applicazioni popolari.

Questa truffa, mascherata da software legittimo, aiuta a ingannare gli utenti e a ottenere un accesso persistente ai dispositivi. Il team Acronis sottolinea che l’attività continua: vengono scoperti nuovi file e l’infrastruttura associata rimane operativa.

TamperedChef: malware tramite falsi installer di app

Il metodo si basa sull’ingegneria sociale. Utilizza nomi di utility note, annunci con clic falsi, ottimizzazione per i motori di ricerca e falsi certificati digitali. I ricercatori Darrell Virtusio e József Gegenyi spiegano che questi elementi aumentano la fiducia negli installatori e aiutano a bypassare i meccanismi di sicurezza.

La campagna è stata soprannominata TamperedChef perché i falsi installer creati fungono da tramite per il malware omonimo. Questa attività è considerata parte di una serie più ampia di operazioni EvilAI che utilizzano esche collegate a strumenti basati sull’intelligenza artificiale.

Per dare credibilità alle app false, il gruppo di operatori utilizza certificati rilasciati a società fittizie negli Stati Uniti, a Panama e in Malesia. Quando i vecchi certificati vengono revocati, ne vengono emessi di nuovi con un nome aziendale diverso. Acronis sottolinea che questa infrastruttura assomiglia a un processo di produzione organizzato, consentendo l’emissione continua di nuove chiavi e l’occultamento di codice dannoso dietro build firmate.

È importante notare che diverse aziende hanno identificato diverse minacce sotto il nome TamperedChef: alcuni team di ricerca utilizzano la denominazione BaoLoader e il file dannoso originale con questo nome era incorporato in una falsa app di ricette sviluppata da EvilAI.

Un tipico scenario di infezione inizia con un utente che cerca manuali hardware o utility in formato PDF. I risultati contengono link pubblicitari o risultati falsificati, che rimandano a domini dell’aggressore registrati tramite NameCheap. Dopo aver scaricato ed eseguito il programma di installazione, all’utente viene presentato un contratto standard e, al termine, un messaggio di ringraziamento viene visualizzato in una nuova finestra del browser.

A questo punto, sulla macchina viene creato un file XML che incorpora nel sistema un componente JavaScript nascosto con esecuzione ritardata. Questo modulo si connette a un nodo esterno e invia gli identificatori di base del dispositivo e della sessione come pacchetto JSON crittografato e codificato tramite HTTPS.

Gli obiettivi degli operatori rimangono poco chiari. Alcune versioni del malware sono state utilizzate in campagne pubblicitarie ingannevoli, il che indica un tentativo di trarre profitto diretto. È anche possibile che l’accesso venga venduto ad altri gruppi criminali o utilizzato per raccogliere dati riservati da rivendere successivamente sui mercati ombra.

Secondo i dati di telemetria, gli Stati Uniti hanno registrato il maggior numero di infezioni. Gli attacchi hanno colpito numeri minori anche in Israele, Spagna, Germania, India e Irlanda. Le organizzazioni dei settori sanitario, edile e manifatturiero sono le più colpite. Gli esperti attribuiscono ciò al fatto che i dipendenti di queste aziende cercano regolarmente online manuali di istruzioni per attrezzature specializzate, rendendoli vulnerabili a tali trappole.

Cos’è Azure Bastion

"The Proud Boys - a white supremacist group with a stupid name - planned a rally a block from my house today. The 'belly of the beast' rally. Because apparently that's where I live - the belly of the antifa beast. Whatever the fuck that means.

2 hours before it was supposed to start, the park starts filling up with my neighbors. A drum line shows up. A brass band plays. The anarchists are giving away vegetables and nachos and some artists are selling jewelry. Black leaders give speeches. We chant Breonna Taylor's name. And all the other names.

No right-wing rally ever coalesces. There was never room for a critical mass to congregate. A lost-looking man or two walks to the park, doesn't see their people, turns around. A right-wing vlogger trying to debate people is surrounded and walked to the edge of the park. Someone spotted with a handgun is chased through the park, to their car, by over 100 people. The ice cream truck music plays the whole time.

The usual guys sets their chess tables and start playing, the crowd of neighbors start to break up.

Giuro che non è un subtoot, ma mi ci ha fatto pensare e non voglio contaminarlo con le mie idiozie.

Davvero crediamo ancora che un limite ai caratteri di un toot possa avere una qualche utilità? Non postiamo più via sms non c'è una ragione tecnicamente ragionevole per limitare i caratteri, quindi perché?

Chi vuole scrivere pipponi lo fa comunque, ha giusto da mettere un ">" e scrivere un altro toot, con la differenza che un singolo toot lungo si può ignorare ed è "denso" come rendering, mentre spezzettato in dodici toot corti, ognuno col suo header, intestazione, barra delle azioni eccetera, intasa graficamente la pagina.

Magari mi sta sfuggendo qualcosa, ma davvero non trovo ragioni sensate

Mi viene in mente una sola ragione vagamente sensata:
può costringere a mettere in ordine i pensieri prima di scrivere ed esercitare la capacità di sintesi.
Anche se fai un papiello di 15 post, magari ci pensi a come creare piccoli pensieri di senso compiuto in modo che ogni post possa essere un paragrafo a sè.

Secondo me no, cioè, può essere una lieve spinta, per chi come te ci pensa, ma non è un vincolo forte, e non risolve comunque il problema.
Mi immagino la situazione dove una persona sta maturando un pensiero lungo. Coi toot brevi
inizia a scrivere ... arriva a 500 caratteri. Magari ci ragiona un po' e scende a 400, continua ... arriva a 500, mette il ">", invia e continua ... così per tre toot.
Al quarto si rende conto che nel secondo ha commesso un errore, diventato evidente solo ora, quindi (se sa che è possibile editare) lo edita, ma ora il secondo toot è inconsistente col terzo, quindi edita pure quello, e solo alla fine continua col quarto ...
Arriva al sesto, e si rende conto che l'intera tesi in realtà non sta molto in piedi, e forse dovrebbe rivedere dei fondamentali che erano nel primo toot, ma se lo fa, dovrebbe rivedere anche tutti gli altri.

Risultato? Un mu

Mir fallen da unter anderem Herrin Eboshi (von "Prinzessin Mononoke") und Prinzessin Kushana (von "Nausicaä aus dem Tal der Winde") ein. Das sind beides an sich Antagonisten, aber sie sind Figuren, die dennoch wohlüberlegt und (aus ihrer Position heraus) nachvollziehbar agieren.

Oggi, alla radio, ho sentito le previsioni del tempo. Hanno detto che le temperature sono scese e che fa freddo. Ma che bella scoperta. Del resto, a fine novembre, io mi aspetto che faccia freddo, come tutti gli anni, dove più le temperature scendono, più i costi per scaldarsi salgono. La conseguenza è che bisogna aprire il portafoglio per pagare il riscaldamento, per cui sarebbe più interessante una previsione della spesa per scaldarsi sulla base dei costi energetici cresciuti sensibilmente.

Add to that the highly flexible approach to written law in Russia, which involves absence of prosecution of outright Nazis like Milchakov, “Topaz”, “Espanola”, simply because “they are ours”.
21 subpoints about territorial changes chaotically mix de facto recognition and “international recognition” in a way that implies that the Kramators and Slovyansk aglomeration will become a massive legal blackhole, where neither Ukrainian nor Russian armed forces will be present, which of course means control by “Wagner” or some other such shady structure.
26 - mutual amnesty for everyone. A fantastic lesson and prize for Russian war criminals which essentially proves that doing war crimes works in long term.
27 - “execution of the treaty will be controlled”, except it won’t because another item bans presence of any foreign forces in Ukraine or the occupied territories. Which means there will be no external oversight and it will be the fox who will be guarding the henhouse.

And that’s pretty much it! I don’t see item 6 which assumes “reduction of Ukrainian armed forces to 600’000” as an ambush, because it’s really much higher than it was before 2022 (250k)! Compared to today wartime 1m it’s 40% reduction, but at ceasefire Ukraine won’t be able nor willing to sustain such a large army anyway.

Granted that this is not the final agreement but likely some kind of test for the public opinion I wouldn’t say it’s “capitulation of Ukraine”. Yes, voluntary surrender of Kramatorsk and Slovyansk is painful, but then you need to think how much longer they will hold and at which cost. I don’t know that and I assume only Kyiv knows how much reserves they still have.

I would say the opposite, the plan much more resembles capitulation of Russia because the mere fact that Russia agrees to “line of contact” and exit from Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk region is a viisible failure of Putin’s explicit 2023 plan of annexation.

Everything else in this plan is Putin’s failure of his 2022 implicit plan of regime change in Ukraine, so in total it’s a complete Russian failure in the war, because at the cost of 1.5m soldiers and setting their economy 10 year back they gain burned out ruins of town they themselves ruined and promise of partial lifting of sanctions, so merely a chance to gradually start returning to pre-2022 trade, except nobody will treat them the same way and trust them.

And at on top of all this they will get ~1m violent and traumatised veterans returning home to… what exactly? Towns that were underinvested shitholes even before 2022 and for the last few years they have degraded even further because Russia redirected all money on the war effort.

Meine Pebble hat noch 11% Akkukapazität. Ich habe sie Mittwoch aufgeladen. Ich finde das okay für eine Smartwatch - vor allem wenn man bedenkt, dass ich sie nicht diese Woche aufgeladen habe und auch nicht in der Woche davor - sondern vor mehr als 14 Tagen.

Eine rechteckige Smartwatch mit schwarz/weiß-Display, das ein Watchface anzeigt, das an eine alte Casio-Digitaluhr erinnert. Die Uhr zeigt 9:25 am Freitag den 21. Man kann im Display auch die 11% Akku sehen. Das Gehäuse der Smartwatch ist weiß, das Armband ist rot.

Es hat viele Vorteile, wenn man als #Blinde einen sehenden Partner im Haushalt hat, manchmal ist es aber auch nicht ganz leicht. Zum Beispiel, wenn der sehende Mensch ein Vorratsmensch ist, der Kühlschrank daher immer super voll ist und man nicht weiss, wo was steht, man aber zum Urlaubsfrühstück grad auf was ganz bestimmtes appetit hat. ;) Aaaaaber — AI hat auch Vorteile. mit der App Be my Eyes habe ich die Kühlschranktür fotografiert und mir beschreiben lassen, wo das gesuchte steht. Ich hab das Gefühl, dass Leute immer mal wieder vergessen, dass neue Technologien, die von vielen als "Spielkram" gesehen werden, zum Teil sehr hilfreich bezüglich der Accessibility sind. Ich denke da auch z.B. an Sprachassistenten wie Echo, Alexa oder Siri.

Ja, das ist schon ein geiles Programm. So hab ich auch mal in einem Hotelzimmer, wo was verräumt worden war, auf den letzten Drücker noch meine Jacke wiedergefunden... Einfach den Raum fotografiert, ihn mir beschreiben lassen, und - schwups! - war sie wieder da!

@DasNest Auf diese Weise hab ich mal, als ich es verzweifelt sehr eilig hatte, in meinem Büro meinen Schlüssel schnell gefunden, den ich sonst wohl ewig gesucht hätte. Und was hab ich es früher gehasst, wenn leute mir Bilder geschickt haben. Heute lasse ich das Bild erkennen und mir beschreiben und kann so auch an den Eindrücken z.B. meines Partners teilhaben, der sehr gern Photografiert. Das ist schon echt schön.

Ich hab mich schon ein paar Mal gefragt, wie Menschen mit (starken) Sehbehinderungen damit umgehen, wenn ihnen z.B. etwas herunterfällt. Ich bekomme es in der Regel recht gut akustisch mit, wohin die Sache gefallen ist ich habe Zuhause Parkett), aber dann muss ich die Ecke doch mit den Augen absuchen.

Und es gibt ja auch blinde Menschen, die nicht sehr gut räumlich hören können, d.h. sie könnten dann nicht einmal darüber den Bereich eingrenzen.

In solchen Fällen ist so eine App echt eine gute Sache.

P.S.: Bezüglich der Bildbeschreibungen hoffe ich ja immer, dass meine brauchbar sind.

Ich hatte an Dich gedacht, als ich das mit dem schlechten räumlichen Hören geschrieben habe. Du hattest es ja mal irgendwann erwähnt. Ich stelle mir das schon echt nervig vor.

BTW: Wie klappt das denn eigentlich beim Überqueren von Ampelkreuzungen? Bekommst Du da die Richtung hin, aus der das Piepen kommt? Und kannst Du überhaupt das dauerhafte Klacken der Ampeln lokalisieren?

@heluecht @DasNest @svenja Geht mir mit beidem ähnlich. Ich muss dann auch den Boden Stück für Stück absuchen bis ich das Heruntergefallene wieder gefunden hab. Und mit den Ampeln geht es mir ähnlich. Schwierig ist für mich auch, Kurven zu nehmen, gerade, wenn die Strasse neben mir ruhig ist und ich nichts Akustisches zum Orientieren habe. Und bei Strasenquerungen wird es besonders schwierig, wenn Autos die Ecken zuparken.

19 drones hit 12 sites; debris fell in 4 regions. 5 died in Zaporizhzhia from guided bombs.

Civilian infrastructure damaged in Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Odesa.

Attacks ongoing in southern Ukraine.
