Meanwhile the boom in private health seems to be not quite as strong as some analysts are suggesting;
after 4 years & having equipped a major unit for private patients Nuffield Health has sold back its lease on a Barts Hospital building in London & the facilities will now be folded back in to the NHS as breast cancer unit.
In the end this is a good result for the NHS in London & may suggest private health demand is softer than some want us to believe?

Ein Bereich, in dem es mir an Empathie fehlt, ist definitiv die Anerkennung von Statussymbolen. Mich stößt ritualisierte Verschwendung ab. Ich finde nichts so erbärmlichen wie das angeben mit einer Luxusuhr.
Aber ich war jetzt in einem männlich dominierten Businesskontext, wo Leute wirklich auffällig erwähnten, "ein Auto mit b" zu fahren.
Und ich frage mich - das ist so weit verbreitet und wird offensichtlich von gut gebildeten Leuten in hohen Positionen anerkannt. Erkenne ICH hier was nicht?
Die Formulierung war "ein Auto mit b"? Bevor ich den Thread gelesen hatte, wäre ich davon ausgegangen, dass damit BMW gemeint wäre.
So oder so: Ich kann mit Statussymbolen und diesem Rumprahlen auch nichts anfangen. Wobei ich tatsächlich auch ein paar Menschen mit viel Geld kenne, die Luxus besitzen, (Sportwagen, Segelyacht, ...) aber kein Stück damit prahlen und total geerdet sind. Leider scheinen die Leute aber eher in der Minderheit zu sein.

NPM just got hit by another supply chain mess. Attackers uploaded 126 credential-stealing packages that used “Remote Dynamic Dependencies” to quietly fetch malware from untrusted sites. Over 86,000 downloads later, the campaign (dubbed PhantomRaven) shows how blind traditional scanning still is to dynamic or AI-generated code patterns. What makes this dangerous isn’t just the malicious code, it’s the infrastructure gap. Dependencies downloaded “fresh” on install mean attackers can serve clean code to researchers and poison code to production networks. That’s targeted compromise at scale.

L'organizzazione reclutava veri e propri hacker conosciuti e apprezzati nel mondo dell'hacking informatico.
Semmai il problema è che il titolo fa pensare che fossero gli hacker a guidare le danze, mentre questi erano solo esecutori spesso tenuti all'oscuro della strategia generale e che, come semplici sicari, lavoravano alla mercé dei soliti maneggioni di alta fascia
