How hard would it be for a fedi client not not show me a post that someone boosted if I have already faced it or bookmarked it? It knows I have seen it already because it shows the icon indicating that.

I use multiple things. Redundancy is good. Signal for chats, group chats, and voice/video calls. IRC and XMPP for non encrypted groups. Phone and SMS. Jami for group calls. Deltachat and cwtch look interesting too.
