Oggi al lavoro mi arriva una multa presa col furgone aziendale a novembre, per pochi km/h oltre.
Esco, vado a fare benzina, non leggo bene l'avviso e seleziono la pompa che non funziona: 50 € persi - erano i buoni aziendali, ma comunque girano un po'.
Arrivo a casa, trovo un'altra multa, sempre per poco sopra il limite.

there is also the consideration wrt the effects of vehicle exhaust. Unless the power plants are coal, that's a straight up win for the carbon cycle.
Of course the batteries have rare chemicals and extractive companies still come into play. But they are there for vehicles regardless.
Also, EV batteries degrade far less than predicted, and have a valuable ‘second life’ as battery storage for a grid powered by renewables… and when they’re finally used up, they are up to 96% recyclable…. Reducing the need for more extraction.
You cannot re-burn gasoline or diesel.
