Заявление Мишустина расходится с цифрами, которые ранее приводила профильный министр Оксана Лут. В октябре 2025 года она сообщала, что нехватка работников в агросекторе доходит до 160 тысяч человек на фоне массового ухода россиян из отрасли. «Кадровый дефицит есть, нам нужно 160 тысяч человек в год для обновления отрасли, потому что 150 тысяч человек в год уходят, 10 тысяч нам надо для обновления отрасли, для достижения указанных показателей», — заявляла глава Минсельхоза на международной выставке «Золотая осень-2025». Лут тогда оценивала занятость в агропроме в 6,4 млн работников.
