Оттуда военные смогут отслеживать подпадающие под санкции танкеры и захватывать их. В базу планируется преобразовать учебный центр HMS Calliope, который используется военно-морским резервом в Гейтсхеде. Для нее закупят дистанционно управляемые беспилотные катера, способные патрулировать Северное море и Ла-Манш на расстоянии до 800 км. Они будут выявлять суда под ложным флагом и передавать данные об их передвижении, чтобы британские власти смогли оперативно задержать нарушителей. Министр обороны Джон Хили заявлял, что работает с союзниками над захватом дополнительных судов «теневого флота» России, для чего планируется привлечь Специальную лодочную службу (SBS) — элитный спецназ ВМФ Великобритании. WHY is it impossible for US Americans to just state "USA" in in their bio??

It's either just nothing or some regional name/abbreviation and they just assume everyone in the world has to know where that is.

There's a reason I'm not just stating "I live in OÖ" or "I live in Mühlviertel" in my bio...

(similar for Germans in Germany, who also hardly ever point out that they live in Germany but then like to assume that everyone who writes in German must be talking about Germany. Maybe it's a phenomenon of bigger countries? They think they're the default?)

It might if your country sucks, or the people who identify with it strongly tend to suck, or it has a history of the people who indentified with it very strongly in the past sucking very badly.
