Okay so there's a letter from the car loan and a sudden "improvement" in my credit and that means the only reason I have a car to sell to Carmax is the ice and snow.
Right now I need about $4500 (which includes tax/tags/etc.) That's $100 from 40 people, $50 from 80, etc, plus a bit.
If I can't do that I need a full $7500 plus tax, tags, etc AND an uber 30 miles away AND hoping the seller is completely honest to have a viable vehicle that isn't effectively a waste of resources.
Time crunch here, it's starting to thaw. I have a day or so at most.

there is also the consideration wrt the effects of vehicle exhaust. Unless the power plants are coal, that's a straight up win for the carbon cycle.
Of course the batteries have rare chemicals and extractive companies still come into play. But they are there for vehicles regardless.
Also, EV batteries degrade far less than predicted, and have a valuable ‘second life’ as battery storage for a grid powered by renewables… and when they’re finally used up, they are up to 96% recyclable…. Reducing the need for more extraction.
You cannot re-burn gasoline or diesel.

I think there is an issue with ani.social federation, namely that the instance is linked as http//ani.social (notice the missing colon). When looking at the list at lemmy.ml/instances hovering over ani.social, the name appears correct, that is, with the colon present, but the link itself doesn't contain it.
I noticed this because an ani.social users comments on a post don't show up on lemmy.ml but they do on blahaj.
