I think there is an issue with ani.social federation, namely that the instance is linked as http//ani.social (notice the missing colon). When looking at the list at lemmy.ml/instances hovering over ani.social, the name appears correct, that is, with the colon present, but the link itself doesn't contain it.
I noticed this because an ani.social users comments on a post don't show up on lemmy.ml but they do on blahaj.

Martedì 10 febbraio suonerò al presidio organizzato dai lavoratori e le lavoratrici di Ubisoft Milano, in piazza degli Incontri ad Assago.
Il presidio sarà dalle 10 alle 14, io sarò lì tutto il tempo e a un certo punto farò un concerto a sostegno della causa.
