in reply to informapirata ⁂ • • •@Madmonkey @BucciaBuccia le segnalazioni sono in effetti l’unico caso documentato di “violazione” della cifratura (l’app di chi riporta un messaggio fa una copia del messaggio con le sue chiavi e lo gira a Meta).
Non sottovaluterei pero’ il caso dei vari AI bots che WhatsApp cerca sempre di piu’ di infilare nelle conversazioni. Se inviti un bot come partecipante gli dai anche le chiavi per decifrare i messaggi.
E infine non sottovaluterei il valore dei metadati. L’NSA diceva gia’ nel 2014 “we kill people with metadata”. Sapere che ho inviato un messaggio a X a una certa ora, da un certo dispositivo e una certa locazione e con allegati di un certo tipo fornisce gia’ tante informazioni senza neanche che ci sia bisogno di rompere la cifratura end-to-end.

Scherzi a parte, è vero che implementare un sistema fallato, ma perfettamente progettato per non farsi scoprire sarebbe diversi ordini di grandezza più complicato che implementare un sistema sicuro; tuttavia un procuratore federale non agirebbe mai se gli elementi non fossero significativi.
Tieni conto che il governo coprirebbe Meta, ma in questa fase, nella PA USA, c'è una sorta di anarchia

in reply to MaiuZ • • •@maiuz no, tranquillo: non è significativo. Infatti quando invii lo stesso messaggio stai inviando lo stesso oggetto e Questo significa che l'hashing è lo stesso. In quel caso WhatsApp non sa cosa c'è scritto all'interno del messaggio, ma sa perfettamente che si tratta esattamente dello stesso messaggio. Questa è una condotta o ricorrente da parte degli standard e quindi il tuo account ha subito un processo di limitazione.

Il primo giorno mi ha bloccato dopo circa 50 utenti il secondo dopo più di 100 ma tra un inoltro e l'altro ho risposto a vari utenti che mi chiedevano altro. Il sospetto che analizzino almeno i metadati (dimensione del messaggio inteso come numero si caratteri) ed in base @informapirata @informatica
