In the morning, the Russians attacked the Lviv region with UAVs — the Air Force neutralized the drone. The target of the attack was a critical infrastructure facility.
Kherson was shelled by Russia with MLRS; 6 civilians were injured. Massive fires and destruction occurred. Private residential buildings, non residential and warehouse buildings, a garage, and an apartment building caught fire at various addresses. Two women were rescued: one was extricated from the rubble of a private house, and the other from a damaged apartment.
In Odesa, according to the State Emergency Service, a fire broke out at an industrial enterprise; there are no casualties. Rescuers have already extinguished the fire.
On the night of February 8, the Russian Federation attacked Ukraine with 101 strike UAVs; air defense destroyed 69 targets, the Air Force of the AFU reports.
Hits from 32 strike UAVs were recorded in 13 locations, and debris fell in one location.

I've always wanted better tools to read and navigate—not edit!—source code.
For example, it's incredible to me that there is no iPad app that does LSP features plus bookmarks, navigation tree, etc.
Maybe now that LLMs made it more people's job to read code, we'll get good code reading tools?

Libri: è più importante il contenitore o il contenuto?
Leggere migliora la scrittura ed aumenta il vocabolario. Ma è ancora così? A parte un manipolo (minoritario) di scrittori importanti e premi Nobel a me pare che il livello qualitativo medio delle nuove pubblicazioni si sia abbassato. Cosa ne pensate? Mi sbaglio o anche voi siete della stessa idea?
Vedo sempre più spesso edizioni molto curate dal punto di vista estetico adatte a TikTok, ma dal contenuto non all’altezza... 🙄
Anch'io faccio fatica a trovare novità interessanti. E solitamente le trovo presso gli editori indipendenti.
Io ci vedo almeno tre "cause"
1. La sovrapproduzione, come osservava @Steutt , aggravata dalle autoproduzioni (solitamente di autori wannabe).
2. La difficoltà di trovare spunti o suggerimenti adatti ale nostre aspettative. Ben vengano Goodreads, Anobii o #Bookwyrm , ma rimane il fatto che dobbiamo anche trovare i compagni di lettura di cui fidarci.

3. I lettori "forti" (un pochino mi ci metto anch'io) hanno aspettative più alte: dove trovo oggi scrittori all'altezza di un Tommaso Landolfi o di uno Stefano D'Arrigo, tanto per citare due autori del mio personale Olimpo? 🧐😄
