Nonostante tutto, nonostante alcuni sappiano anche queste cose, mi dicono che sono esagerato a voler chiudere i servizi statunitensi.
Non so, cosa dovrei fare? Restare a guardare? Se non faccio neanche quello che posso fare facilmente, cos'altro dovrei fare? Mah.
Io ho iniziato con la de-googlizzazione un paio di anni fa. Più in generale mi sto de-americanizzando: sui dispositivi personali ho sostituito i prodotti Google e Microsoft con equivalenti europei e/o open source. Oggi ho solo Google Maps/Waze e WhatsApp dei quali non riesco a fare a meno, LinkedIn per lavoro e sto lasciando anche Facebook come social.
Non sono un radicalista, ma non mi fido di Trump e degli USA, per cui alcuni
Io ho aggiunto un piccolo passo ulteriore: i miei software e progetti ora sono licenziati colla EUPL invece della GPL. 😇

Grande! I prodotti Mozilla io li ho volutamente abbandonsti, per diversi motivi. È vero che sono open, ma la Mozilla Foundation è pur sempre negli stati uniti e i propri dati passano da là.
Poi, sono praticamente mantenuti da Google.
Per finire, gli scivoloni che fanno sulla privacy sono sempre più grossi e più frequenti, e con le ultime politiche basta aprire il browser per accettarle. In pratica puoi essere soggetto a sorprese sgradevoli che neanche sai che esistano, come quella in cui dicevano che ogni dato che transitava da firefox diventata una loro proprietà non esclusiva (poi rimossa in fretta e furia).
Su alcune cose sarò estremista, ma preferisco le alternative.

@cniside Only Office ha sicuramente qualche criticità, soprattutto di carattere reputazionale, Ma è un prodotto ben diverso perché è focalizzato sul Cloud aziendale. Si tratta di un pacchetto ben configurato che qualsiasi organizzazione può installare all'interno dei propri server
@cniside sì, sicuramente è una valida alternativa, ma oggettivamente OnlyOffice presenta le funzionalità di LibreOffice, mentre Collabora non è ancora arrivato a quel livello

Ti consiglio anche TrackerControl insieme InviZible Pro(Cfr. github.com/Willie169/Android-N…), per filtrare le richieste a siti di tracciamento e bloccare mille mila app che si collegano inutilmente a Internet.
Più SuperFreezZ per fermare le app che girano in background.

@mau le startup american non sono proprio un progetto "dal basso" ma più che altro una coltura idroponica (voluta dalla finanza ancora sofferente per la guerra del Golfo), nella quale galleggiavano i rampolli della più alta borghesia cittadina, innervati da solidissime relazioni sociali. Da lì sono stati spinti da un governo molto competente come asset geopolitico
Quanto a Google+ @mau o a tutto quel cimitero di progetti, quella non è incapacità, ma è un semplice taglio di tutto ciò che non è strategico (=leggi "ciò che non è scandalosamente remunerativo").
Nessun azionista ha sofferto per il taglio di G+ o degli altri progetti.
Non bisogna stupirsi se alcuni progetti vengono terminati; piuttosto bisognerebbe chiedersi perché progetti duplicati come Waze sopravvivono e la risposta probabilmente è nel sorgente di Waze 😅

This is the first such meeting in Ukraine on peace. European representatives will be present, and we expect the American team to join online. Fifteen countries have confirmed their participation, as well as representatives of European structures and NATO.

On 6 January, there will be a meeting at the leadership level: leaders of European countries and the Coalition of the Willing. We are currently preparing to ensure that the meeting is productive, that there is more support, and that there is more political confidence
