A record 40% of #Russia’s 2026 budget will go to the military and security forces. In monetary terms, the sector will receive $166 billion — the largest military spending since the Soviet era. Putin has approved the federal budget for next year.
At the same time, social spending has been cut to 25.1%, down from 38.1% before the war against Ukraine. Support for the national economy has fallen to 10.9%.
The annual budget deficit is set at an unrealistic 4 billion rubles, with official inflation projected at 4%.

The man is considered to be the founder and mastermind of an international smuggling network specialising in transporting migrants from #Belarus through Polish territory further west.

As a result of Russia's overnight attack, hits from missiles and 18 unmanned aerial vehicles were recorded in 13 locations across Ukraine, as well as the fall of downed (fragments of) aerial objects in 2 locations.
