mah, non mi pare sia quello che chiedeva la CFO di OpenAI, è più una spinta governativa ad usare AI sullo stile “cinese”. Ovviamente le agenzie faranno contratti con le varie aziende AI ma li fanno con tutti, anche militare e simile, il governo americano è il più grande datore di lavoro negli states.

Naja, kommt ein wenig auf den Hund an - wenn der so anfängt Sex mit deinen Sneakern oder gar so dem Unterschenkel zu machen, würde ich ihn auch weg schubsen. Ein ordentlich erzogener Dackel nähert sich Fremden nur einmal und geht bei Abweisung zum Frauchen zurück. Also ich kenne Leute die mögen Katzen, Ratten, Karnickel und sonstige Viecher, nur Hunde nicht - egal wie klein die sind...

@Moritoki Mochizuki Der Hund ist nur ein wenig um sein Frauchen herumgelaufen - und jedes mal, wenn er in Fußreichweite war, wurde er weggeschoben. Gleichzeitig hatte er keinen Millimeter Platz gemacht, als ich wegen einer einsteigenden Großfamilie mit Kinderwagen ausweichen wollte. Da bewegte sich sein Fuß (natürlich hat er Manspreading betrieben) kein Stück.

Unusual Circuits in the Intel 386’s Standard Cell Logic

Intel’s 386 CPU is notable for being its first x86 CPU to use so-called standard cell logic, which swapped the taping out of individual transistors with wiring up standardized functional blocks. This way you only have to define specific gate types, latches and so on, after which a description of these blocks can be parsed and assembled by a computer into elements of a functioning application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC). This is standard procedure today with register-transfer level (RTL) descriptions being placed and routed for either an FPGA or ASIC target.

L'illustration parfaite de la capitalisation du Solarpunk. Un joli mot derrière lequel on mets plein de jolies choses souvent creuses.

Rebirth, un jeu magnifique à la promesse alléchante : rebâtir l’Écosse dans un futur radieux et décroissant, à l'aide de tech "vertes" et de fermes low-tech. Seulement voila : c'est un jeu de conquête de territoires dans lequel on s'affronte pour de l'influence. Toujours de la baston et de la colonisation, alors qu'on aurait pu imaginer de la coopération et une réflexion sur l'écologie sociale.

On a donc un jeu qui utilise le solarpunk à des fins marketing mais dont le fond est en totale inadéquation avec la forme. Dommage.

Apple was all-in on WiFi from the beginning, launching the AirPort line of products to much fanfare in 1999. In 2004, along came the AirPort Express—a fully-functional router the size of a laptop charger, that offered audio streaming to boot. As [schvabek] found out that while a lot of older Apple gear has long ago been deprecated, the AirPort Express is still very much supported and functional to this day!

A Ukrainian official told Reuters that Kyiv supports the "essence" of the peace deal after US-Ukraine talks in Geneva last weekend and subsequent negotiations.

Absurdity of #nuclear power regulation, or why the Hinkley Point C is so expensive and equivalent projects in #China are so cheap?

Through environmental lobbying Hinkley Point C was obliged to install an extremely complex “fish protection” system which costs no more no less than 700’000’000 GBP and it’s estimated benefit for the environment is equivalent to less than 1 (one) salmon per year and a few more of smaller fish. No need to mention that countries like China - which manufacture 80% of Europe’s PV panels and wind turbines thanks to cheap energy - don’t care about such fancy toys.

Make no mistake, such systems are also often demanded for off-shore wind turbines, also boosting their cost, but to much lesser scale.
