Aggiungo che anche noi avevamo fatto praticamente tutto il possibile lato ottimizzazione: Super Cache, Apache e database configurati con grande attenzione con prestazioni migliorate in modo sensibile, Varnish in mezzo con benefici reali.
Il problema è che quando arrivavano decine di migliaia di persone tutte insieme, il sistema prima o poi collassava e avevamo 4 server dedicati, 2 per servire le pagine e 2 per i database (che erano quelli che si piegavano 😅 )

Per questo le uniche che conosco sono cloudflare e l'europea edgelin che permettono di caricare l'intera pagina in cache sul loro cloud e quindi non pesando sul server.
Con cloudflare funzionava egregiamente, edgelin dice di fare lo stesso ma serve testare il tutto.

As Windows typically does not have a centralised update feature, then huge amount of apps have selfwritten updaters. Those may include similar errors like the weak signing of updates, which in combination of errors by hosting providers may provide similar vulnerabity paths.
So does it mean there a need for a generic open-source windows lib to manage app updates correctly?

Basically, Hubzilla is Bonfire, but much older with almost 16 years of development behind it, much more stable, much more powerful, much more resilient and not ordered from wish.com. Just about whatever Bonfire promises to offer at some point in the future, Hubzilla already has it and even more on top.

Relaisserver sind großartig, um Inhalte in deinem Server zu verbreiten, besonders für kleine Server - stimmt! Entsprechend würde ich nach dem Tod von gup.pe gerne ein Nachrichten-Relais aufsetzen, welches Beiträge mit #Brettspiele auf kleinen Instanzen sichtbar macht.
Nur: Wo finde ich eine Anleitung, was nach Festsetzung des Kontotyps zu tun ist? Und wieso kann ein Relais-Konto keinem anderen Relais-Konto folgen? Hier erscheint neuerdings die Fehlermeldung
Dies scheint ein Relais-Konto zu sein. Diese können nicht von Nutzern gefolgt werden.
Vor ein paar Versionen ging das noch.

@Oliver @Tealk Relaisserver und Kanalrelais sind zwei unterschiedlichen Sachen. Kanalrelais sind Nutzerkonnten reposten nur Beiträge die anhand eines Filters auf den der Instanz bekannten Seiten finden. Also normaler User kannst du diesen Kanalrelais folgen. Aber die Instanz selber kann den Kanalrelais nicht folgen.
Kanalrelais kann, wenn es der Admin erlaubt, eine User selber anlegen. Relaisserver kann aber nur der Admin hinzufügen damit die Instanz von denen Beiträge bekommt oder sie weiterverteilen.
