I just spent 5 minutes trying to figure out why my NES emulator was lagging. I thought it might be an OpenGL issue, something to do with the sound core, and I tried a different NES emulator core entirely!
in the end the only thing that fixed it was going into speed and changing it from "50%" back to "100%"!

Question: Did we learn anything from either of these abominations?
Either way, sysadmins (including me!) somehow love software *more* when the configuration is fucked up. It's no wonder Ansible and Helm have done well.
Nobody's roasted me in years about Logstash's config syntax and, to be honest, it's long overdue for me to be shamed for any bad choices in that syntax ;)
I don’t recall all the people who recommended it, but I got Lacie the “help em up” harness. We tried it for the first time today and she didn’t hate it.
