Sabato sera il giudice distrettuale statunitense Eric Tostrud ha emesso un'ordinanza che vieta agli imputati federali, tra cui il Dipartimento della sicurezza interna e le agenzie federali per l'immigrazione, di distruggere o alterare qualsiasi prova relativa alla sparatoria.
Secondo l'ordinanza, ciรฒ include anche le prove presumibilmente rimosse dalla scena del crimine o prese in esclusiva custodia federale.
