While thereโs quite a few reliable sources of estimates of #Russia losses in the war - like MediaZona/BBC and โGoryushkoโ - thereโs much less so for #Ukraine losses.
The only project #UALosses that monitors Ukrainian losses in the same way as the others - that is, scanning for public obituaries and databases that leave little doubt as to the military affiliation of the deceased (which are surprisingly easy to find in Russia).
The problem is that UALosses had been just caught mixing KIA soldiers with random people who were most likely civilians who were registered as missing, and itโs also easy to check because Ukraine maintains such register for the families of missing persons.
Therefore itโs very difficult to treat UALosses numbers as reliable.

๐ฒ๐ฉ Moldova has begun the process of withdrawing from the CIS โ Foreign Ministry.
โThe Republic of Moldova will no longer be an official member of the CIS. This process has already begun. The decision has been taken, the approval procedure is underway, and at the start of the new parliamentary session, documents on the denunciation of these agreements will be submitted. By mid-February, we expect to complete the process within the government, after which parliament will have to make its decision,โ Foreign Minister Mihai Popศoi said.
He added that Moldova will retain only those CIS agreements that provide economic benefits and do not contradict the countryโs course toward European integration.
In total, Moldova has signed about 283 CIS agreements. Of these, 71 have already been terminated, with around 60 more currently in the process of denunciation.

Also, as far as I know, there was some drama around Pleromaโs devs, which dirtied its name a bit in Fedi circles, but Akkoma doesnโt have that reputation.

EDIT: seems like their docs and git are both hosted on Hetzner; might be some IP filtering on that side? I doubt that Akkoma would deliberately block VPNs.

But it's not Mastodon' fault; A hint: Remember folks; read all releases logs from where you are to where you're going. Try not to wing it like me just before going to bed...
I missed an important ruby upgrade, a database migration and even more stuff about node...). At a certain point I was sure I've lost everything. But eh ! I'm still here ! Yay
