At noon on 8 December 2025, while performing a combat mission on a Su-27 aircraft in the eastern direction, Senior Navigator of the 39th Tactical Aviation Brigade, Lieutenant Colonel Yevgeny Vitalievich Ivanov, was killed.

Secondo gli inquirenti, gli Akhter avrebbero deliberatamente attaccato l’infrastruttura IT del loro ex datore di lavoro, che forniva servizi a diverse agenzie governative statunitensi. I fratelli avrebbero continuato ad accedere ai sistemi anche dopo aver lasciato il lavoro , bloccato l’accesso ad altri utenti, distrutto dati e tentato di coprire le proprie tracce. L’atto d’accusa è stato emesso il 13 novembre.

L’episodio più grave, secondo i pubblici ministeri, si è verificato il 18 febbraio.

Quel giorno, avrebbero cancellato circa 96 database, inclusi file FOIA e materiali relativi a indagini sensibili. Appena un minuto dopo aver cancellato uno dei database, appartenente al Dipartimento per la Sicurezza Interna (DHS), secondo gli investigatori, avrebbe avuto accesso a uno strumento basato sull’intelligenza artificiale chiedendo come cancellare i log di sistema. Sono quindi accusati di cospirazione per commettere frode informatica, distruzione di documenti, furto di dati governativi e furto d’identità aggravato. Complessivamente, rischiano fino a 45 anni di carcere. Sohaib è accusato di cospirazione, distruzione di documenti e trasmissione di una password che potrebbe essere utilizzata per hackerare un computer governativo; le sue accuse prevedono una pena massima fino a sei anni.

Il Ministero della Giustizia ha dichiarato che i fratelli hanno abusato della loro fiducia trovandosi dalla parte sbagliata della barricata, da appaltatori incaricati della gestione di dati governativi sensibili a persone accusate di aver minato processi governativi critici. Belting out the Audio

Today, it is hard to imagine a world without recorded audio, and for the most part that started with Edison’s invention of the phonograph. However, for most of its history, the phonograph was a one-way medium. Although early phonographs could record with a separate needle cutting into foil or wax, most record players play only records made somewhere else. The problem is, this cuts down on what you can do with them. When offices were full of typists and secretaries, there was the constant problem of telling the typist what to type. Whole industries developed around that problem, including the Dictaphone company.

Belting out the Audio

The issue is that most people can talk faster than others can write or type. As a result, taking dictation is frustrating as you have to stop, slow down, repeat yourself, or clarify dubious words. Shorthand was one way to equip a secretary to write as fast as the boss can talk. Steno machines were another way. But the dream was always a way to just speak naturally, at your convenience, and somehow have it show up on a typewritten page. That’s where the Dictaphone company started.

History of the Dictaphone

Unsurprisingly, Dictaphone’s founder was the famous Alexander Graham Bell. Although Edison invented the phonograph, Bell made many early improvements to the machine, including the use of wax instead of foil as a recording medium. He actually started the Volta Graphophone Company, which merged with the American Graphophone Company that would eventually become Columbia Records.

In 1907, the Columbia Phonograph Company trademarked the term Dictaphone. While drum-based machines were out of style in other realms, having been replaced by platters, the company wanted to sell drum-based machines that let executives record audio that would be played back by typists. By 1923, the company spun off on its own.

Edison, of course, also created dictation machines. There were many other companies that made some kind of dictation machine, but Dictaphone became the standard term for any such device, sort of like Xerox became a familiar term for any copier.

Dictaphones were an everyday item in early twentieth-century offices for dictation, phone recording, and other audio applications. Not to mention a few other novel uses. In 1932, a vigilante organization used a Dictaphone to bug a lawyer’s office suspected of being part of a kidnapping.

Some machines could record and playback. Others, usually reserved for typists, were playback-only. In addition, some machines could “shave” wax cylinders to erase a cylinder for future use. Of course, eventually you’d shave it down to the core, and then it was done.

As mentioned, Dictaphone wasn’t the only game in town. Edison was an obvious early competitor. We were amused that the Edison devices had a switch that allowed them to operate on AC or DC current.

Later, other companies like IBM would join in. Some, like the Gray Audograph and the SoundScriber used record-like disks instead of belts or drums. Of course, eventually, magnetic tape cassettes were feasible, too, and many people made recorders that could be used for dictation and many other recording duties.

The Dictabelt

For the first half of the twentieth century, Dictaphones used wax cylinders. However, in 1947, they began making machines that pressed a groove into a Lexan belt — a “Dictabelt,” at first called a “Memobelt.” These were semi-permanent and, since you couldn’t easily melt over some of the wax, difficult to tamper with, which helped make them admissible in court. Apparently, you could play a Dictabelt back about 20 times before it would be too beat up to play.

These belts found many uses. For one, Dictaphone was a major provider to police departments and other similar services, recording radio traffic and telephone calls. In the late 1970s, the House Select Committee on Assassinations used Dictaphone belts from the Dallas police department recording in 1963 to do audio analysis on the Kennedy assassination. Many Dictaphones found homes in courtrooms, too.

As you can see in the commercials in the video, Dictabelts would fit in an envelope: they are about 3.5 in x 12 in or 89 mm x 300 mm. The “portable” machine promised to let you dictate from anywhere, keep meeting minutes, and more. A single belt held 15 minutes of audio, and the color gives you an idea of when the belt was made.

Magnetic Personality

Of course, Dictaphone wasn’t the only game in town for machines like this. IBM released one that used a magnetic belt called a “Magnabelt’ that you could edit. Dictaphone followed suit. These, of course, were erasable.

Even as late as 1977, you could find Dictaphones in “word processing operations” like the one in the video with the catchy tune, below. Of course, computers butted into both word processing and dictation with products like Via Voice or DragonDictate. Oddly, DragonDictate is from Nuance, which bought what was left of Dictaphone.

Offices have certainly changed. Most people do their own typing now. Your phone can record many hours of crystal-clear audio. Computers can even take your dictation now, if you insist.

Should you ever find a Dictabelt and want to digitize it for posterity, you might find the video below from [archeophone] useful. They make a modern playback unit for old cylinders and belts.

🇫🇷🇪🇺 According to the Financial Times, France has declined to include roughly €18 billion in frozen Russian assets kept in her commercial banks in the EU’s “reparations loan” for Ukraine. These frozen funds represent the second‑largest bloc of Russian sovereign reserves in Europe outside of the Belgian Euroclear.

Though Paris supports the idea of a reparations loan in principle, French banking rules and commitments to private clients make them oppose using assets held in commercial banks.

4 декабря администрацияпрезидента США Дональда Трампа опубликовала новую Стратегию национальной безопасности (СНБ), в которой подвергла критике союзников США в Европе и пообещали усилить влияние США в Западном полушарии.

США хвалят ультраправые партии и хотят, чтобы «Европа начала крепко стоять на своих ногах» и уменьшать военную помощь европейским странам.

«Новая доктрина Монро». Америки и Ближний Восток «закреплены» за США

▪️ В прошлой стратегии, опубликованной при Байдене в 2022 году, говорилось о роли США «в укреплении демократии и сохранении мира в условиях существующего мирового порядка».

▪️ В новой СНБ говорится, что США представляют собой лидера в области экономике, вооружения, технологий, а также формировании политики в Западном полушарии и на Ближнем Востоке.

▪️ Во внешней политике Белый дом намерен вернуться к принципам «доктрины Монро». Эта политика названа «новой версией доктрины Монро от Трампа». Суть в том, что влияние США в первую очередь будет распространяться на страны Южной Америки, а также на Ближний Восток, чтобы, как сказано в стратегии, не допустить увеличение влияния Ирана в регионе.

▪️ В стратегии отмечается, что администрация Трампа будет стремиться нормализовать отношения России с европейскими странами, которые сейчас воспринимают ее как «экзистенциальную угрозу».

▪️ Кроме того, в СНБ говорится, что война в Украине «усиливает внешнюю зависимость Европы, особенно Германии, [от США]» и потенциальное прекращения огня должно помочь европейским странам наладить свои внутренние дела, чтобы быть более выгодным союзником для США.

▪️ Пресс-секретарь Путина Дмитрий Песков похвалил новую СНБ США, назвав ее в целом соответствующей российскому взгляду на мир.

«Наблюдаемые нами корректировки, я бы сказал, во многом соответствуют нашему видению, и, возможно, можно надеяться, что это станет хотя бы скромной гарантией того, что нам удастся конструктивно продолжить совместную работу по поиску мирного урегулирования на Украине, как минимум», — заявил он.

▪️ В то же время европейские официальные лица выступили с критикой новой стратегии США. Так, глава МИД Германии Йохан Вадепуль отметил, что его страна не нуждается в «сторонних советах», но США останутся «важнейшим союзником» Германии.

▪️ Бывший посол Франции в США Жерар Аро отметил, что документ «во многом подтверждает» мнение о том, что Трамп является «врагом Европы».

На заповедном Байкале могут разрешить вырубку лесов. Все — в интересах олигархов

Совет Госдумы порекомендовалрассмотреть во втором чтении законопроект о запрете рубок леса на Байкале на пленарном заседании 9 декабря 2025 года.

Докладчиком станет председатель Комитета Госдумы по экологии, природным ресурсам и охране окружающей среды Дмитрий Кобылкин из «Единой России», который является одним из главных лоббистов закона. Он утверждает, что законопроект якобы защитит природу Байкала и обеспечит нормальную жизнь более 100 тысячам человек, которые живут на берегах озера.

Байкал — самое глубокое озеро в мире и самое большое по площади пресноводное озеро Евразии, около которого проживают много видов животных, в том числе внесенных в Красную книгу.

Что хотят сделать с лесами на Байкале?

▪️ Внесенный летом 2023 года законопроект нацелен на то, чтобы разрешить вырубку лесов для строительства объектов систем коммунальной инфраструктуры.

▪️ Также депутат:ки Госдумы предложили запретить сплошную рубку деревьев на землях лесного фонда и особо охраняемых природных территорий.

▪️ Исключением стали сплошные рубки погибших деревьев для воспроизводства лесов. Сплошные рубки будут разрешены на ограниченном количестве участков, которые определит Правительство России.

Кому это выгодно?

▪️ Как выяснила «Новая Газета Европа», ряд олигархов и депутатов Госдумы, включая Андрея Лугового, Олега Дерипаску, Дмитрия Кобылкина и Александра Якубовского, владеют бизнесом на Байкале — вырубки на этой территории могут помочь их бизнесу и позволят им строить новые предприятия.

▪️ Так, например жена Лугового Ксения владеет 22,5% акций «Братских электрических сетей», а холдингу Дерипаски En+Group принадлежит Иркутская ГЭС на Ангаре и горнолыжный курорт «Гора Соболиная», который могут расширить из-за вырубки лесов.

Как преследуют защитни:ц Байкала?

▪️ Еще до первого чтения законопроекта и внесения его на рассмотрение в Госдуму международная организация «Гринпис» выступила против разрешения рубки лесов на Байкале, которые были запрещены с 1999 года.

«Снятие запрета на сплошные санрубки вокруг Байкала фактически открывает лазейку для массовой коммерческой заготовки древесины. <...> [Это] увеличит количество рубок в оставшихся диких лесах, где ещё сохранились значительные объемы ценной, особенно для рынка Китая, хвойной древесины», — отмечал еще в 2022 году Вилен Лупачик, эксперт лесного отдела российского Гринпис.

▪️ В 2023 году «Гринпис» был признан в России «нежелательной» организацией, чему был рад депутат Госдумы от Иркутской области Александр Якубовский. Он же является одним из соавторов законопроекта, а его семья связана со строительным бизнесом на Байкале.

▪️ Власти также преследуют активисто:к, которые выступают в защиту Байкала. Так, общественная деятельница Галина Арсеньева подала в суд на журналиста Сергея Королева и защитницу Байкала Любовь Аликину за якобы порочащие сведения об Арсеньевой, которые сказала Аликина в своем выступлении. В результате Свердловский районный суд Иркутска не стал штрафовать активисто:к и пояснил, что слова Аликиной не порочат честь Арсеньевой.

▪️ Помимо этого, еще в 2010 году ГУВД по Иркутской области возбудило уголовное дело против общественной организации «Байкальская экологическая волна» из-за якобы использования нелицензионного программного обеспечения.

How Big is Your Video Again? Square vs Rectangular Pixels

[Alexwlchan] noticed something funny. He knew that not putting a size for a video embedded in a web page would cause his page to jump around after the video loaded. So he put the right numbers in. But with some videos, the page would still refresh its layout. He learned that not all video sizes are equal and not all pixels are square.

For a variety of reasons, some videos have pixels that are rectangular, and it is up to your software to take this into account. For example, when he put one of the suspect videos into QuickTime Player, it showed the resolution was 1920×1080 (1350×1080). That’s the non-square pixel.

So just pulling the size out of a video isn’t always sufficient to get a real idea of how it looks. [Alex] shows his old Python code that returns

A tutta sorveglianza: Predator torna più potente che mai grazie a nuove vulnerabilità zero-day

Intellexa si è costruita una reputazione formidabile nel mercato della sorveglianza. Secondo l’analisi di Google , il fornitore ha “consolidato la sua posizione come uno dei fornitori di spyware più prolifici, se non il più prolifico, nello sfruttamento delle vulnerabilità zero-day contro i browser mobili”.

La portata delle loro operazioni è impressionante. Dal 2021, Google ha monitorato circa 70 vulnerabilità zero-day utilizzate in circolazione. Di queste, “Intellexa è responsabile di 15 vulnerabilità zero-day uniche, tra cui Remote Code Execution (RCE), Sandbox Escape (SBX) e Local Privilege Escalation (LPE)”.

Il rapporto descrive in dettaglio una sofisticata catena di exploit iOS, denominata internamente da Intellexa come “smack”, che è stata utilizzata contro obiettivi in Egitto per installare lo spyware Predator.

Questa catena si basava su un framework che Google chiama “JSKit”. È interessante notare che i ricercatori di Google ritengono che Intellexa probabilmente non lo abbia sviluppato autonomamente.

“Riteniamo che Intellexa abbia acquisito i propri exploit iOS RCE da un’entità esterna, poiché abbiamo visto questo stesso identico framework JSKit utilizzato da altri fornitori di sistemi di sorveglianza e da aggressori sostenuti dal governo dal 2021”, afferma il rapporto.

Una volta compromesso il dispositivo, viene distribuito un payload tracciato come PREYHUNTER. Questa fase è composta da moduli “helper” e “watcher” che garantiscono che l’impianto rimanga nascosto durante l’esecuzione di attività di sorveglianza. Utilizzando framework di hooking personalizzati (“DMHooker” e “UMHooker”), il malware può registrare chiamate VOIP, eseguire keylogger e acquisire foto.

La portata di Intellexa si estende oltre gli iPhone. Il gruppo ha anche implementato framework personalizzati per sfruttare Chrome, prendendo di mira specificamente il motore JavaScript V8. Più di recente, nel giugno 2025, sono stati osservati mentre sfruttavano CVE-2025-6554 in Arabia Saudita, un errore di confusione di tipo che ha permesso loro di violare oggetti di memoria.

In risposta a queste scoperte, Google sta adottando misure dirette per avvisare le potenziali vittime. “Abbiamo deciso di inviare simultaneamente il nostro avviso di attacco, supportato dal governo, a tutti gli account presi di mira noti associati ai clienti di Intellexa dal 2023”, annuncia il rapporto.

Questa notifica di massa riguarda centinaia di utenti in Pakistan, Kazakistan, Angola, Egitto, Uzbekistan, Arabia Saudita e Tagikistan, segnalando una forte escalation nella lotta del gigante della tecnologia contro il commercio di spyware.

La risorsa è stata ricondotta a un grande complesso fraudolento, Tai Chang, a Kyaukhat, che le forze dell’ordine internazionali hanno perquisito tre settimane fa. Questo è il terzo dominio associato a Tai Chang che le autorità statunitensi hanno chiuso nell’ambito dell’operazione in corso.

L’FBI ha stabilito che alle vittime sono stati mostrati depositi falsi e rendimenti “aumentati” artificialmente per convincerle a trasferire criptovalute sulla piattaforma fasulla. Sebbene i domini siano stati registrati solo all’inizio di novembre 2025, gli agenti speciali sono riusciti a identificare diverse vittime che avevano già perso somme ingenti. Inoltre, i truffatori hanno invitato le persone a scaricare app correlate e, dopo averle avvisate, alcune di queste sono state rimosse.

Il sito web sequestrato ora presenta un banner delle forze dell’ordine. Le misure statunitensi fanno parte di una campagna più ampia per combattere i centri antifrode nel Sud-est asiatico, che rubano miliardi di dollari agli americani ogni anno. Attraverso la neonata Scam Center Strike Force, l’FBI ha dispiegato agenti a Bangkok, dove stanno collaborando con la Royal Thai Police per smantellare tali centri, tra cui Tai Chang, situato al confine tra Myanmar e Thailandia.

Il complesso di Tai Chang è gestito dal Democratic Karen Benevolent Army (DKBA), un gruppo alleato con il governo militare del Myanmar. A novembre, il Dipartimento di Giustizia degli Stati Uniti ha collegato le attività del DKBA alla criminalità organizzata cinese e ad aziende thailandesi, ora soggette a sanzioni del Tesoro. La Scam Center Strike Force mira a smantellare l’infrastruttura delle reti criminali cinesi e i funzionari in Myanmar, Cambogia e Laos che sono dietro queste organizzazioni.

L’FBI stima che centri fraudolenti simili rubino annualmente agli americani circa 10 miliardi di dollari, principalmente attraverso programmi di macellazione di maiali tramite messaggistica e social media. Nell’ambito dell’operazione Tai Chang, il gruppo ha collaborato anche con Meta*, che ha cancellato circa 2.000 account coinvolti nelle operazioni fraudolente.

Giusto pochi giorni fa scrivevo "Perché tanto odio nei confronti di Francesca Albanese?", oggi il quotidiano "Il Tempo", pessimo, davvero uno dei peggiori, scarica la bomba, un'altra, per screditare Acsecnarf Albanese. Lei non ha bisogno di difensori d'ufficio, ma toccare lei significa toccare anche tutto il movimento che io definirò NoProGen. Veniamo ai fatti.

Premetto che, in ogni caso, piaccia o meno, Hamas ha vinto le elezioni e governa a Gaza. Quindi chiunque abbia rapporti con la Palestina deve necessariamente avere rapporti con i funzionari di Hamas. Questo sia chiaro!

L'ARTICOLO di Giulia Sorrentino

Giulia Sorrentino, giornalista de Il Tempo, apre il suo attacco dichiarando che «Oramai le frequentazioni di Francesca Albanese sono più che note» e subito dopo si chiede «cosa ci facesse lì il nuovo idolo dei ProPal Francesca Albanese». L’insinuazione è chiara: la presenza della relatrice ONU a una conferenza del 2022 insieme a esponenti di Hamas basterebbe a macchiarla di collusione col terrorismo. Il metodo è la colpevolezza per associazione, un sillogismo capzioso che ignora ogni tipo di fatto. In realtà l’evento incriminato, intitolato “16 Years of Siege on Gaza: Impact and Prospects”, era un incontro pubblico sul blocco di Gaza; Albanese vi intervenne, da remoto, in qualità di esperta di diritto internazionale, senza alcun controllo sugli altri partecipanti. Non rappresentava Hamas né tantomeno ne condivideva la linea politica. Eppure Sorrentino liquida come una “scusa” la spiegazione fornita dalla stessa Albanese («Collegandomi, io come gli altri ospiti internazionali, non avevo alcuna idea di o controllo su chi fosse in sala» e preferisce suggerire torbide complicità: forse, insinua con malizia, per essere invitati bisogna «essere nelle grazie di chi quei circoli li presiede». Siamo alla diffamazione ovviamente. Si tratta di un’accusa priva di prove, che pretende di trasformare un convegno sulla crisi umanitaria a Gaza in un rito di affiliazione terroristica. La logica, questa sconosciuta!

La stessa malizia riemerge quando Sorrentino rievoca un precedente incontro di Albanese con Mohammed Hannoun, attivista filopalestinese vicino a Hamas. In quell’occasione Albanese riconobbe pubblicamente l’errore di non essersi informata sul profilo del co-relatore. Ma per la penna di Il Tempo ciò non conta: «siccome... Albanese ci sembra una persona che tutto ha fuorché deficit mnemonici, sarebbe il minimo che chiarisse il suo più totale distacco da tagliagola come quelli di Hamas». La giornalista impone una sorta di prova di purezza ideologica: vuole che Albanese abiuri e dichiari il proprio ripudio di ogni interlocutore sgradito, trattandola alla stregua di un’indiziata. È un ribaltamento indebito dell’onere della prova. Francesca Albanese, funzionario ONU, non è mai stata colta in attività di fiancheggiamento militante, il suo “peccato” è semmai aver dialogato con tutti gli attori rilevanti sul terreno, com’è dovere di chi indaga sulle violazioni dei diritti umani. Chiederle di certificare di non essere terrorista ricorda i tribunali ideologici maccartisti: si lancia un’accusa infamante e si esige che l’accusato provi la propria innocenza. Questa costruzione colpevolista risalta in tutta la sua ipocrisia se confrontata ai retroscena documentati sul rapporto pragmatico che Israele stesso ha intrattenuto con Hamas. Per anni l’establishment israeliano ha visto Hamas come un nemico conveniente, da tenere in vita per dividere i palestinesi. Netanyahu, ad esempio, dichiarava nel 2019 che «chiunque voglia bloccare la nascita di uno Stato palestinese deve favorire il rafforzamento di Hamas e i trasferimenti di fondi verso Gaza. Questo fa parte della nostra strategia: separare Gaza dalla Cisgiordania». In altre parole, il governo israeliano ha tollerato e indirettamente alimentato Hamas per calcolo politico, permettendo per anni l’afflusso di centinaia di milioni di dollari dal Qatar a Gaza “per scopi umanitari” ma di fatto utili a consolidare il controllo di Hamas. Di fronte a questo dato storico, un cinico patto col nemico utile orchestrato ai massimi livelli, è paradossale che l’indignazione cada su una giurista italiana colpevole soltanto di aver partecipato a un dibattito sul futuro di Gaza. L’astio verso Francesca Albanese si rivela pretestuoso: a infastidire non è una sua ipotetica contiguità con ambienti radicali (tesi smentita dai fatti), ma la sua efficacia nel porre domande scomode sul assedio di Gaza e sulle responsabilità di chi lo perpetua. Sorrentino preferisce spostare l’attenzione su presunti peccati di compagnia pur di non riconoscere la legittimità, anzi la necessità, del lavoro che Albanese svolge: documentare le violazioni dei diritti umani in Palestina e chiedere conto ai perpetratori, chiunque essi siano.

Nel pezzo di Il Tempo si accusa Albanese (e la “sinistra occidentale” in generale, tutti noi che non amiamo i genocdi) di essersi «piegata a una narrazione distorta», una narrazione che normalizzerebbe Hamas equiparandolo addirittura alla Resistenza antifascista (che a me non sembra un’ipotesi così lontana dal vero, con le dovute differenze) e che servirebbe a «mascherare l’antisemitismo, nascondendosi dietro la parola antisionismo». In piazza, scrive con tono allarmato, i manifestanti pro-Palestina gridano slogan come «Palestina libera dal fiume fino al mare», parole che a suo dire «sono il pane quotidiano che ghettizza... sempre più gli ebrei» Già, sono gli ebrei i ghettizzati, non i Palestinesi dopo 80 anni di colonialismo, apartheid, sostituzione etnica. Qui l’artificio retorico è doppio: da un lato si confonde volutamente antisionismo (critica all’ideologia e alle politiche dello Stato di Israele) con l’antisemitismo (odio verso gli ebrei in quanto tali); dall’altro si dipinge come minaccia persecutoria un semplice slogan politico di matrice anticoloniale.
Lo slogan “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free”, tradotto in italiano «dal fiume al mare, la Palestina sarà libera» è un caso emblematico di questa mistificazione. La maggior parte dei media filo-israeliani si ostina a definirlo antisemita, seguendo la linea di Sorrentino, ma tale accusa è priva di logica. Traverso ne ricostruisce il significato autentico: quel motto invoca la libertà e l’uguaglianza per tutti gli abitanti della Palestina storica, e nasce dall’idea, sostenuta già da Edward Said, di «uno stato laico binazionale... in grado di garantire ai suoi cittadini ebrei e palestinesi la completa uguaglianza dei diritti». Non c’è traccia di odio antiebraico in questa aspirazione: si chiede libertà “fra il Giordano e il Mediterraneo” per un popolo oppresso, non certo la segregazione di un altro. Paradossale, semmai, è l’atteggiamento di chi grida allo scandalo: «perché i palestinesi non dovrebbero essere liberi fra il Giordano e il Mediterraneo?», domanda Traverso, smascherando l’assurdità dell’accusa. Davvero rivendicare la libertà di un popolo equivale a inneggiare a un nuovo Olocausto? L’argomentazione non regge. Tanto più se si considera che molti di coloro i quali bollano come antisemita ogni appello alla liberazione della Palestina sono gli stessi che altrove rifiutano l’idea di uno Stato etnoreligioso: eppure sostengono con fervore la pretesa di Israele di definirsi “Stato ebraico”. Anche qui il doppio standard è evidente. «Accusare di antisemitismo le manifestazioni in cui risuona lo slogan From the river to the sea è... paradossale», nota Traverso, poiché proprio gli ambienti più nazionalisti e xenofobi in Occidente (quelli che mai accetterebbero uno “Stato cristiano” nei propri paesi e che considerano anacronistica la Repubblica Islamica dell’Iran) sono in prima linea nel difendere lo status quo di Israele (che dal 2018 si è auto-definito “stato nazione del popolo ebraico”) e nel dipingere come estremista qualsiasi richiesta di uguali diritti tra ebrei e palestinesi. In Italia, non a caso, «gli amici più fedeli di Israele come “stato ebraico” si trovano nelle file della destra xenofoba», proprio quella destra che rifiuta di concedere la cittadinanza ai bambini nati da immigrati. Il tentativo di liquidare ogni protesta contro la guerra a Gaza come un rigurgito antisemita è dunque una falsificazione grossolana, utile solo a criminalizzare la solidarietà verso i palestinesi. Un’analisi onesta riconosce la distinzione fondamentale: odiare gli ebrei è antisemitismo; criticare Israele è esercizio di pensiero critico. Anzi, spesso è un dovere morale quando le critiche sono rivolte a politiche di occupazione e apartheid denunciate da innumerevoli osservatori internazionali.
Nel finale del suo articolo Sorrentino cambia registro e prova a mettere in imbarazzo chi sostiene Francesca Albanese sul piano etico. Si domanda «Perché concedere a questa donna le chiavi delle città italiane? ... La sinistra... a gara per averla tra le proprie fila», quando proprio la sinistra dovrebbe difendere i diritti umani e il femminismo. La stoccata è apertamente sarcastica: Albanese verrebbe celebrata dal fronte progressista nonostante spartisca il palco con fondamentalisti che negano i diritti, «in primis alle donne», quindi, conclude Sorrentino, sarebbe proprio “in nome di quel femminismo e dei diritti umani” che chiunque dovrebbe pretendere spiegazioni dalla giurista ONU. Nelle intenzioni polemiche de Il Tempo, questo j’accuse suona come la prova definitiva dell’ipocrisia di Albanese: una paladina dei diritti umani talmente incoerente da trovarsi fianco a fianco con i nemici giurati di quei diritti.

В Краснодаре студенты смогли добиться отмены обязательной установки MAX

В конце ноября 2025 года в Кубанскомгосударственном университете КубГУ вышло распоряжение, в котором от студенто:к требовали обязательно установить государственный мессенджер MAX. Его издала деканка графического факультета вуза.

В свою очередь студент:ки направили жалобу в местную прокуратуру, Федеральную службу по надзору в сфере образования и науки и Министерство науки и высшего образования. В результате ректорка КубГУ отменила решение администрации.

«Нам ответил проректор КубГУ по цифровому развитию: он подтвердил, что распоряжение декана было издано с превышением полномочий. Ректор вуза отменил его на следующий день после получения нашей жалобы», — пишет проект «Молния», защищаюший права студенто:к.

В вузе подчеркнули, что переход на MAX добровольный, а к учащимся не будут применяться никакие санкции за отказ установить государственный мессенджер. Все личные кабинеты в электронной системе вуза работают без привязки к MAX.

Quello di app IO è un problema italiano, ma è il quadro stesso del DSA europeo a generare le maggiori criticità.

Immagina quando scoprirai che l’app IO, su cui ormai dipendono diversi servizi della PA, è solo app iOS/Android piuttosto che sito web per nessuna ragione tecnica (eccetto per IT-Wallet). Lato Android inoltre ha una forte dipendenza sui servizi Google (no notifiche, no wallet se non presenti).

premesso che io preferisco accedere a Mastodon con il browser del telefono, ti confermo che "l'app ufficiale" non ti permette di visualizzare la timeline federata!

Del resto, lo scopo di quell'app (che è oggettivamente ben fatta) è farti iscrivere al server di mastodon.social e di fartici restare dentro 😈

Se vuoi un'app che si avvicina alla semplicità di quella ufficiale ma senza le sue limitazioni, ti consiglio Moshidon

#Poland police arrested three #Ukraine citizens (aged 39–43) in the center of Warsaw who were traveling in a car equipped with:

advanced hacking equipment,
a spy device detector,
SIM cards, routers, FLIPPER, antennas,
laptops, cameras, and portable drives.

The seized devices could have been used to breach security and interfere with strategic IT systems. That resembles a bit the arrest of #GRU officers in #Netherlands in 2018 while they tried to hack #OPCW corporate network. This of course could be regular cyber criminals or pentesters, but I’d say these days this kind of jobs would display certain lack of self-preservation instinct in each case.

P.S. “Ukraine citizens” is essentially holder of passport of Ukraine, doesn’t tell you anything of nationality or political affiliation.

Polish police officers in Warsaw detained three Ukrainian citizens traveling with advanced hacking equipment and spy device detectors. Stopped for a routine traffic control, the men explained they were IT specialists traveling across Europe and arrived in Poland just hours earlier.

Both GRU and cybercrime sounds equally plausible.

Just to be clear - I was personally doing #wardriving in Warsaw like ~15 years ago, all legitimate and and part of official security assessment. I can imagine doing it today, but I would be 100% sure to have three notarised copies of customer contract and all other available credentials on hand, especially if I was doing it abroad… This bit seems to be clearly missing here.

Sixteen strike UAVs were recorded hitting 11 locations, and downed UAVs (debris) were recorded falling in four locations.

BookLook Theme Early Preview

I've mentioned to a few people that I've been working on a new theme for Friendica, based on "Vier" but with some features from "Frio" and styling cues from the "Bookface" scheme I made for it, plus some new stuff.

This is a PREVIEW of that theme. It's still very much a work-in-progress! It's not even to a point where I can release the code for others to test. There is still a LOT to do.

I've been doing frontend web design and development professionally for a long time. Over the years I've made dozens of themes, child themes, and plugins for clients running WordPress, so I'm no stranger to PHP and jQuery. Friendica, though, doesn't have a robust theme system like WordPress. So for just about everything I've wanted to do I needed to pick my way through the code and figure it out, because the documentation is outdated, thin, or non-existent.

This is a PREVIEW of that theme. It's still very much a work-in-progress! It's not even to a point where I can release the code for others to test. There is still a LOT to do.

Friendica also has a million pieces, so I never feel like I'm getting anywhere with this theme because every time I turn around there's something else that needs attention. I hate to say it, but it's been the most frustrating thing I've ever worked on and I've nearly given up a dozen times! I might still. This is what I do for a living so paying jobs would have to take priority over working on this for free.

Which is why I won't try to predict if or even when it will be finished.

As for WHY I started making this? I felt I'd taken the "Bookface" scheme as far as it can go given the limitation of only being able to use CSS. People had asked if I could do this or that with it and I'd have to tell them "No" because what they wanted required changing backend code or the HTML structure and all I had to work with was a stylesheet.

If you're on one of a couple of the larger Friendica instances you've probably experienced first hand how the "Frio" theme can breaks on an overloaded server. That's probably because it loads about a dozen additional plugins/themes/frameworks on top of what the Friendica core loads. If it fails to load some of them the theme breaks. By contrast the older "Vier" theme is pretty simple. It doesn't really load anything new. Which makes it faster loading and more stable, or at least less prone to breaking on a stressed server.

Which is why I decided to use "Vier" as the base for my new theme. It's actually more of a "hybrid" theme because I'm incorporating some of the features from "Frio" that I like. But I needed to figure out how to do that without Bootstrap because I was determined not to add any new plugins, libraries, or frameworks.

Features:

Accent Color creates site-wide color scheme
Forkawesome icons replaced with Phosphor icons
Default font is "Lexend" designed from improved readability.
Integrated Coverphoto add-on functionality
Integrated Zen Postbox add-on functionality
Advanced Theme Settings similar to my Bookface Custom add-on
Verified Blue Checkmarks (optional as it only works for local accounts)
Post headers now show author @handle
Option to hide local server from @handle
Options to show navbar icons, text, or both
Option for alternative Emoji Picker integrated to theme
Accessibility improvements for keyboard navigation
Redesigned Hovercards (popover contact info)
Three Options for Composing & Editing:
- In Thread
- Separate Page
- Modal Window
Location button can use device location services (if you've enabled it in browser for site)
Post engagement/responses click for popover list
Post Composer available on Community page (Local Server & Global)
Character count added to comment editor
Photo and Attachments filebrowser has tabbed interface
Attachments filebrowser can filter files by type
Privacy Settings update padlock icon on editor
Easier access to some settings (Widgets, Profile photo, etc.)
"Frio" style user Settings and Admin screens
Single navigation toolbar with options to make it "fixed" or scroll away.

As for what's still left to to do? I have yet to style most of the sub-pages for each section, I have to complete the mobile UI layout, create options for all of the settings for the theme, make the "dark" and "auto" versions, get some of the features listed above working properly, and probably a ton of other little things I won't know I need to do until I stumble across them.

As far as I understand, you need support concerning the handling of git. My hope is that eventually someone will provide help.
