He was a teacher, farmer, and politician. An activist of the peasant movement. He was a member of the lower house of the Polish parliament (Sejm).
During the German occupation, he was active in the underground organisation Stronnictwo Ludowe (People's Party) "Roch". On 18 July 1942, he was arrested and interrogated by the Gestapo in Nowy Sącz and Cracow.
He perished in Auschwitz on 20 May 1943.

I’ve been organizing music today, into static playlists for use with an MP3 player.
It’s astounding how good this task feels, to break away from streaming services and go back to my own collection of music, algorithm-free and played on a device that isn’t collecting my data in order to exploit me.
I’m not at all being facetious when I say that it feels healing. I love analog but I don’t need analog everything. I want the tech I do use to feel like a tool, not a compromise with the Death Star.

Yonks ago, I said when I did batteries and solar on my house, I wanted to do it with Victron. Because Victron is often used on boats and can work perfectly entirely offline (cos boats aren’t always on the internet).

Huh. Just chatted in person with someone who's been on #mastodon for a while, now, who honestly thought that all the Mastodon domains were run by Mastodon. And having a different domain was, like, just a vanity thing to look cool. It only came up because they were complaining about an issue they were having, and they were on a smaller server (not naming it for anonymity), so I suggested contacting their server admin about the problem. I was surprised when they answered "Dude nobody at big companies reads those reports. It just all goes to AI or whatever." It took some actual convincing to get them to believe that the server they're on does, in fact, have a living breathing human admin who can be talked to.
Anyway, folks, support your #fediverse server admins and moderators. With money, where you can. They're almost certainly getting messages from users who think that reporting things to an admin here is exactly like reporting stuff to Facebook or Google. IE: screaming at a giant faceless entity who's never going to care or do anything about whatever your problem is.

I started a game of Pathfinder Kingmaker, and I have a question for people familiar with the Pathfinder table-top role-playing game: is a party of 4 level 2 characters equipped with 6 Alchemist's Fire supposed to run at the sight of a couple spider swarms also in the pen and paper game?
In the video game, alchemist's fires are more miss than hit, and they will tear my party apart if I don't roll high on the fire damage in the first place. Feels OP?

I this case, using spells like burning hands should work well, or just not fighting the swarms
The Pathfinder1e rule system can be opaque, and there is a massive difference between just using the characters and optimizing them, neoseeker.com has very good guides about that.
Applying heightened stinking cloud kind of auto-wins all later encounters.

PS: prima di essere moderatore di mastodon.uno sono amministratore di poliverso.org che è un'istanza Friendica che dispone di un calendario eventi molto avanzato e se avessi voluto fare una marchetta l'avrei fatto per poliverso.org.
Ma Mobilizon è l'unica piattaforma che ergonomicamente può stare al livello di Eventbrite. Punto

Unknown parent • • •@DataKnightmare sì, comunque Mobilizon (che è stata creata da Framasoft e che ora è in mano a una no-profit ad hoc) è una interessante alternativa a Eventbrite pur con le sue complessità e i suoi limiti (mancano le funzioni di ticketing)
C'è da dire però che Mobilizon nasce sopratutto per offrire un'alternativa a Facebook Eventi, più che a Eventbrite. Ricordo che eventi Facebook e gruppi Facebook sono i due asset strumentali strategici che Facebook mette a disposizione del pubblico
