This picture feels like it was taken yesterday… but it was taken in a Paris public garden nearly a hundred years ago. Everything feels modern: the composition, the casualness, the daring clothes, haircuts, and accessories.
The colors are original: this is an #autochrome, using the first process for colour photography invented by the Lumière brothers in 1903.
The women are unknown, but I can't help wondering how they fared a few years later in nazi-occupied Paris.

in reply to islieb? • • •@islieb? wegsperren hilft v.a. bei Gewalt im persönlichen Umfeld nur temporär und ändert definitiv nichts an dem System, das die patriarchale Gewalt erst ermöglicht. Aber schnelleres Eingreifen der Behörden und klarere Konsequenzen wären hilfreich, sowie ein "ja heißt ja". Hier ein guter Artikel, warum es so kompliziert ist, gewisse Straftaten überhaupt zu ahnden, was ja mal der erste Schritt wäre.

in reply to Sophie Hassfurther • • •Ich denke, dass es wichtig ist, dass Frauen mit Gewalterfahrung niederschwellige Hilfe bekommen und dafür gesorgt wird, dass sie nicht aus finanziellen Gründen zu ihrem Partner zurückmüssen.
Und ich denke, dass diese Frauen auch eine gute psychologische Beratung benötigen, damit sie nicht den Fehler begehen, ihrem ehemaligen Partner erneut zu vertrauen. Soweit ich mich erinnere, gab es ja auch Fälle, wo Frauen vor ihren Männern in Frauenhäuser geflohen sind, dann aber zu ihrem Partner zurückgekehrt sind - der sie dann ermordet hat. Ich weiß nicht, wie einfach es ist, dass diese Frauen erkennen, dass sie ihm nicht mehr trauen dürfen, aber ich denke, dass man es versuchen muss.

in reply to Michael 🇺🇦 • • •Einer Frau aus einer Gewaltsituation herauszuhelfen ist ein Schritt, aber reicht nicht aus, wenn Täter immer wieder die Gelegenheit bekommen, das nächste Opfer zu finden, darauf wollte ich hinaus.
In Deutschland arbeitet die Justiz stark nach dem Prinzip, Menschen immer wieder neue Chancen einzuräumen, solange es irgendwie möglich ist. Aber ich denke, das Interesse der Öffentlichkeit nach Sicherheit überwiegt gegenüber dem Recht von Wiederholungstätern auf Freiheit.

in reply to islieb? • • •Bei Tätern im Familienumfeld ist es durchaus schwierig. Diese Menschen fallen häufig nicht auf, da die Frauen auch recht häufig keine Hilfe suchen. Und erst wenn sie dann tatsächlich den Femizid vollzogen haben, fällt auf, welches Martyrium die Frau jahrelang erlitten hat. Soweit ich weiß, sind viele solcher Täter vorher nicht straffällig gewesen.
Wo eine solche Verschärfung eventuell etwas bringen könnte, wäre bei den 38%, die nicht aus dem Familienumfeld kommen.
So oder so: Es ist ein komplexes Thema, bei dem es keine einfachen Lösungen gibt - und ich bin alles andere als ein Fachmann.

Wie man es erfolgreich schafft, bei einem Thema, wo man eigentlich nichts versauen kann bzw. wo nicht unmittelbare wirtschaftliche Schäden entstehen würden, noch einen rauszuhauen, der die geballte Inkompetenz zu Tage führt.
Nehmen wir mal das klassische Beispiel, daß die Frau auszieht ...

... da er aber meist dann auch nicht die evtl. vorhandenen Kinder hat ... ist da meist auch nichts mit "Härtefall-Regelung" oder anderen Mieterschutz.
Falls es jemand überhaupt so weit kommen lassen "möchte". Und eine (Mieterseitige) Kündigung der Wohnung, üblicherweise 3 Monate Kündigungsfrist, kann jederzeit vorkommen - selbst wenn die beiden sich "im Guten" trennen.
