in reply to Oregon Wine Woman • • •She went to a non-catholic school and had many friends there who were Jewish and stayed in contact with many of them even when they left Germany for the US , UK and Palestine in the early 1930s. As long as they were still there it was vital to never give any information, especially nothing about someone else, be it friend or stranger. Good advice later on, too.

in reply to Oregon Wine Woman • • •ONE BIG THING I don't see here: Tell students NOT TO ROLL DOWN WINDOWS and/or talk to law enforcement. Students CAN POSSIBLY create "probable cause" to board bus by either giving tacit permission or by saying they want to get off of bus. This does NOT have to be student that law enforcement is "after".
PLEASE tell spouse to have their agency add this to the list!

Instructions to school bus drivers for interactions with law enforcement approaching buses.
Some of the relevant portions of the instructions say -
Ask to provide I.D. and collect full name, department/agency, badge number (Handwritten note "Take photo of badge")
Ask for reason for the inquire (Handwritten note "Ask student name")
Explain you need to report all information to the transportation director.
While the director is on the way, continue to keep law enforcement off the bus, do not allow any law enforcement interaction with students on the bus, and do not give out any student rider information to law enforcement.
